Funny how things change...my dad was a Fulham supporter. In those days Fulham was at best Pooterish but most fans were doggedly working class. Now most of the dwindling working class lads in the area support Chelsea, leaving the, well, Ruperts. Dunno what my old dad would say.

I don't know why people spend a fortune to live in Fulham. The streets are samey and boring, few decent pubs, in fact not many at all. A couple of middling parks, not a huge amount of shops, oh and a football ground.

This is true - in fact until the 70s Fulham was a solid working class area. My dear old mum was born there. It was Fatcher and the yuppies wot changed it all. Never heard anyone say 'yah' there before 1979.

same could be said of the bush, Chiswick and Notting hill my family all lived there through the forties, fifties , sixties and the seventies and to call them slums would be an understatement
And Bowles is onside, Swinburne has come rushing out of his goal , what can Bowles do here , onto the left foot no, on to the right foot
That’s there that’s two, and that’s Bowles
