But he did his best with a squad of players like I have never seen before. And it just wasn't good enough sadly.
For those crying out for NW, I fully expect those same people in due course saying 'we should never have had him back' like they are doing now with GA

I am genuinely sorry for both of them I would have liked nothing more for them to succeed, but the approach from day one to change the way we play was madness, and its taken a bad situation and seemingly made it a hell of a lot worse. No one can say they were not given a run, I would have pulled the plug at the end of last season and if not after Watford and pre-season. They needed to blend their culture and team ethic with the progressive way of playing that Warburton, Beale and Critchley were following. |  | | |

Sad and, despite what anyone says, he was not the MAIN problem.
I really wish him the best and he tried everything he could to make a silk purse out of the sow's ear of 'players' we have. He cares as much about Rangers as Holloway and we've let him go a couple of times!

Let's not try to spin this Ainsworth was totally awful but I don't blame him I blame the board for employing a bloke who played the polar opposite type of football that the squad was used to !
