Norwich Away 10:54 - Oct 29 with 6444 viewsBoston

I suspect tickets for this fixture will be difficult to obtain for glory hunters. I'm over for the Hull at home, glamorous wet Wednesday trip to Blackburn and hopefully, aforementioned Carrow Rd.

Anyone able to fix me up with one, I'll sit on your lap if that helps?

The trains are not running that day so might be a bit easier for tickets

Ooh dear, would that just be trains from London?

It is the Liverpool st to Norwich which is bus replacement from Ipswich but you can do 1 change at either cambridge or Peterborough then on to Norwich .

As I dislike having to wait an hour to get out of the car parks in Norwich, my alternative travel plan from Ipswich is to drive to Thetford & then let the train take the strain.

Now to wait for the tickets to go on sale!

Tickets went on sale today and I had no problem buying a couple.

Genuine thanks to the people on here who offered to help when I thought procuring might be a problem.

Also picked up a couple for the glory hunting Blackburn away game.

Not only are there no trains from Liverpool St the roads up here are carnage at the moment. The A11 is down to one lane on approach to the A47 and the A47 is also one lane approaching the same junction, the locals are up in arms, gets more coverage than the football team! All I’m saying is plan ahead and leave plenty of time!

The trusty A140 is ok apart from a few delays for roadworks.A bit of a long way round from London though, and you will probably get stuck behind some rail replacement coaches.

Well they're on general sale now. TBH, I'm unclear why OP was expecting a stampede for tickets - irrespective of transport woes we were never gonna 2000+ for this.

With the way we are playing they should be lucky to get 500 but I would imagine it will be at least 1500+

A/ At the time of posting, we were looking like a play off chasing team.

B/ No idea what our allocation is at Carrow Rd.

C/ Haven't been to Norwich for 43 years.

D/ Travelling 3,000 miles

E/ People who I could often tap for tickets are steadily reducing in numbers due to death.

F/ etc etc etc.

Two tickets purchased today. When I asked my son if he wanted a ticket he replied along the lines of "yes, I'll go, but I doubt that I'll enjoy it"!

It's definitely a form of madness to repeatedly make the mistake of paying to watch us play at Norwich!

4 from Halesworth, tickets sorted this morning. Last couple of years pre match drinking has been rubbish with most pubs home fans only.

The coach and horses up the hill from the station is away fan friendly, great beer and decent food.

Probably a better shout than the bowling alley/arcade I ended up in for the Beale 0-0. Thanks.

Coach & Horses up the hill behind the train station is a great pub & let’s both sets of fans in. Also If you don’t mind a short walk into the city The Murderers pub on Timber Hill also lets away fans in, great selection of beers & decent grub.

A-F exactly

G. Looking forward to going to a football match and watching your team knowing you will get to see the game with the added logistics of traveling 3,000 miles.

H. We can’t take it for granted.

Both cracking places, real pubs, friendly. Murderers has sky/tnt, Coach and Horses doesn’t but is closer to the ground. They now have Encore in the ground for any Ale fans and great pies 👍🏻
