January Transfer Window - Patreon Podcast 14:43 - Feb 13 with 1629 viewsNorthernr

James Allcott joined myself and Simmo for the latest Patreon Podcast looking back at the recent games and our activity in the January transfer window.

As he had such a fancy professional background we've had a go at uploading this as a Vodcast as well so you can stare at our pretty faces for an hour and a half. Usual audio only option is there as well. We'll see how it goes and whether Spotify/Apple etc cope with our efforts...

Thanks Clice, Alan & James.

A very enjoyable Podcast, especially the last twenty minutes when discussing the ambition needed to win football matches.

I also liked the discusssion on our goalkeepers & was reminded that this is a position where we've had a lot of mediocrity in the past sixty years! Watching an over the hill Ron Springett, Mike Kelly & Alan Spratley in the late sixties should have been enough of a warning to me of what I should expect!

I would suggest that Alex Smithies (who I liked a lot), being in our top five (possibly) in my lifetime tells us all we need to know about the position.

Pleased for producer Jaz that I held back when James talks about his background - 'throw as much up there as you can' - and I had to rush a lid on asking if we're still talking about dating advice

Great pod and nice to have a video link this time. Enjoy hearing James talk about QPR, would love to hear from him more often (when he’s not billy big ballsing it…).

Totally agree on the sentiment at the end. Just f-ing go for it. Difference between finishing 14th and 10th is materially insignificant (and probably 3-5 points). So why not go to Hull and have a go?

Side with the argument that JS approach is part injuries and part reaction to our pre Xmas openness. But better to lose trying to win now, when the risk in the season is so low.

Love James. His Olly interview and his podcast where he took his dad to the World Cup as a surprise are legendary. Didn’t disappoint.

Really enjoyed this podcast. Positive enough even for the happy clappers.

Good stuff. Fully agree with the sweary call to arms near the end.

Interesting to hear that Hayden really rates Julien - not been getting that many minutes before now but still feels that way.

Really enjoyed this. Would replace Nourry with James for the football CEO stuff (and get someone else in to sort out the catering or whatever).

The Vodcast is better than the audio version, I reckon.

Listened to the audio version while tearing out a tiled bathroom floor and found it excellent and very informative as well.
I wish I had listened before the Blackburn dissapointment your last words in closing Clive was we should beat them and of course we imploded and lost .
Strongly agree with all the points raised about "going for it" we just give way much respect to medicore teams instead of playing to win and accepting a draw like we held Barca its so frustrating .
