With regards to the 3rd kit, anyone else find it interesting that our most sellable assets (bar Madsen) are the ones modelling that kit? So potentially if one is sold, the 'face' of our new home/away kit won't disrupt the marketing campaign? Dunno, maybe just me being cynical as a result of the world we live in. Just seems weird to me that you wouldn't have Kone for example, as the face of the new home kit [Post edited 15 Jun 11:53]

I know colour clashes with the opposition will dictate shirt choice to an extent but I wonder if the players might have any say if there was a choice between the away and the third kit. No one in their right mind would choose to wear that abomination of an away kit if they could wear the third. | |

The Petobismol pink kit from the McClaren season was our third kit the year after but Warburton refused to have the team in it allegedly. Resulted in us playing in the light sky blue number at Fulham which did not amuse the referee who'd said we'd need to wear pink for that one. |  | | |

the clubs has put out. a statement saying that anyone who dosnt want to have the sponser on the shirt can order one via supporterservices@qpr.co.uk they will then run an order for those fans which will be aval at a later date , surely they could have forseen this and ordered some with some without instead of having this hassle aftewards |  |

What I meant is, it surprises me that Kone, Dunne, Edwards, Varane (maybe less on) aren't modelling the home kit, which I would presume is the one they want to sell the most. Which then makes me wonder why you would keep those players in particular for the kit that we will probably use the least.

I thought something like this might happen.
They obviously hadn’t planned for it by ordering a volume of sponsorless tops of each variety in. Otherwise there’d be no issue. Indeed, they could have surveyed fans and realised that they might want to have ordered a greater quantity of the sponsorless replica tops than those with “Mr Q”.
I suspect either they knew of the rule change and fans being entitled to a sponsorless top if there was a gambling sponsor and fans formally requested, but didn’t want to make fans aware and hoped no one would notice.
Or they genuinely didn’t realise the rule change until E17 pointed it out.
They’ll now have a problem with MOQs as I guess these tops are made overseas (far east, most likely). There will be MOQs in place, you’d think. So they will be trying to aggregate fans orders for sponsorless tops manually (as requests coming in individually by email) before placing a bulk order when they reach the MOQ threshold.
It also means they could be left with a lot of unwanted stock in the UK with the logo on…
No idea who takes the financial hit for this: the club or the manufacturer. Hopefully not the club if there is a financial cost. |  | | |

The video with Beta Squad is clever.
Probably cost us nothing and got loads of interest in us.
In addition, we can test whether influencers will actually sell anything for us. If not, then we don't need them and have to think differently. If they do, then we should look at the best way of utilising them like this, on the cheap.
The away kit is poor and dull, and Mr Q's logo is terrible. The home kit is average and really not worth it, especially since we've had so many great shirts in the past.
3rd kit, if it can be bought without the Mr Q logo, is very good indeed.
This is the sort of kit you can wear out and about and confuse lots of people as to whom you support. Which means they take an interest and start conversations. I suspect anyone wearing this will get compliments that it's a nice kit.

Keeper blue shirt would not work as a main away kit as it's blue so no difference from the home shirt but certainly a good option for the fans to buy.

I think that is the best of the 3 kits and will use my QPR Cash to buy it.
Hopefully it will be worn more than the lilac one at away games, especially if the team loses in the early fixtures and the change to black brings a few wins.
After all, if it is about sales most will be purchased pre season or during August and September, after that there'll be less need for the team to wear it. | | | |
