It's a shame to see his fall from grace, but he played alot of Football at the highest level consistently from the age of 17 up until 28/29 before he started to fizzle out at Chelsea (and the underwhelming season at Arsenal). 82 Caps and 20 Goals for England as well.
If he's living locally could maybe invite him to train with us through the International Break and see if he has anything to offer, even if it is just raising the level in training. I always like how Arsenal take care of ex-players, even though he never played for us at Senior Level we could show him the same sentiment.
I watched him play for the Under 18's against Barnet when he was 15 and he was the best player on the pitch by a mile, amazing what he went on to achieve in his career. |  | | |

Assuming it all blows over, Chair style, then he will probably sign for any top-tier club that has not allocated all their 25-man squads yet. I think these clubs still have spaces: Newcastle, Spurs, Fulham and West Ham.
These teams can afford him, and three of them are based in London, which we know Sterling prefers.

An ageing player in terms of his performances for some years, out for one last pay day but unlikely to be anywhere near the levels he got to at City and Liverpool.
In fact Smyth, Poku, Vale, Saito, Chair and even perhaps Dembele all could perform better than Sterling is likely to achieve presently.
We went down the route previously of signing top players in their latter years, Ji Sung Park, Rio Ferdinand and on big money.
