If Stan has to move to a home he should get some basic care fees paid for by the local authority.
Whoever organised this did it the right way to have a fund that can contribute to his top up care but is not his money. If it was just given to him he would lose all means tested benefits and the council would not cover any fees until he was down to the last few thousand. This way he will be able to live in a nicer place and pay for top up therapy or attention that can improve the quality of his life. |  | | |
