I've been offered a Nissan Note 2006, 1.6l petrol. By a nun.
She's being sent back to Ireland for some reason and was selling the car to someone but it fell through last minute. She's asking for £900 to £1000. I haven't found out yet whether its auto or manual. If it's manual I'm strongly considering making an offer.
19,000 miles apparently. Serviced annually by Nissan. "One or two scratches" but it's local so I can view before buying.
I scrapped my Ford Focus last year and missing it a bit now especially since lockdown. Anyone had any experience with Nissan Note of this age? I always liked the look of them. Would offer a bit under the asking price of course.
Did she leave her bible in the glove compartment ?
And Bowles is onside, Swinburne has come rushing out of his goal , what can Bowles do here , onto the left foot no, on to the right foot
That’s there that’s two, and that’s Bowles

Have the car HPI'd in the first instance. (chargeable) You probably will still be able to have the service history checked at any Nissan dealership this will also give you guidance regarding the validity of the mileage. 14 Year old Nissan Note even with warranted mileage and service history (if it is) is probably worth about £700 at the most, weigh in at £550 and take it from there?

Thanks Ted. Sounds like what I was thinking about doing.

Worth £700, and she’s looking for up to a grand!
Well she’s no mug, probably in the trade and as for the whole ‘nun moving back to Ireland’ thing; probably her schtik.
I’d also check the number plate with the Police, to see if the car has been used for dogging or other nefarious purposes. They’ll ask you what Order she’s from, because if it’s the Order of the Immaculate Conception: notorious ‘cut and shut’ merchants!

Do you remember the story about the nuns, driving through Transylvania on a dark, stormy night when a vampire appeared on their windscreen. 'Quick, Sister agnes, show it your cross!', ..."ok, GET OFF MY F***ING CAR!"
