Can't all be blamed on that man.

The players have done this but how has it happened and how can you go from ripping teams apart to hardly making any attempts against an average team a division below..

The difference early in the season was we were scoring goals all over the pitch. Now nobody is scoring. Even though we hit the top briefly, we still were not scoring second half goals down the Loft end. We have continued that trend of not scoring but now in both halves.

We had periods in games where we were very strong. Probably wrong word to use but that's not point I was making.

How can a squad that was capable of being top of table three months into a season deteriorate to being probably the worst performing team in the table on effort and pride.

At the minute my anger is directed at the players.

Even if you have a bad manager, or are playing the wrong formation, playing with the wrong teammates and playing the wrong style, YOU CAN STILL FCUKING GIVE EVERYTHING.

As a Clive has often pointed out, you only have to compare and contrast effort levels, passion, and intensity between games. This means the players CAN do it.

Can today’s players, the ones against Luton, or Burnley, truly say they gave 100%? Can they say they worked as hard as they physically could?

No. No they can’t. It’s blindingly obvious. I think deep down they know it too.

We are a soft side. We are a lazy side. We lack passion and we do not play with urgency.

To be honest, I think these traits have been in evidence for 12 months now, under Warburton, Beale, and, of course Critchley.

In some games they have shown the opposite of these traits, which makes it even more apparent that this is on the players.

They have shown they have the technical ability, the ability to defend their box, and their ability to create good chances and play good football.

When they don’t you could put it down to a bad day at the office if it was an occasional thing. But it’s not, it’s half the games at the minute, if not more. It was most of Warburton’s last 3 months.

It doesn’t matter who the coach or manager is if the players don’t give 100% and turn out on the pitch desperate for a win.

They should have some pride in themselves as professionals, some respect for each other, respect for their coaches/employers, and respect for the fans. They need to come out against Reading and outwork them relentlessly for 90 minutes. And they need to do that every game for the rest of the season. They did this against Sheff Utd and then today??? We didn’t have a shot in the last 25 mins 2-1 down in a cup game to a mid table side in the league below. They cannot honestly say today they really tried.

They all need to take a long, hard look at themselves and ask why they are pissing away their careers not trying. Even if they are not with us in Feb or next season…don’t waste your playing days going through the motions. It’s pathetic, disrespectful, and you’ll regret it. Give everything, every match. If we lose, so be it. Losing when trying is annoying but acceptable. Losing when not giving everything is unacceptable in any profession or sport.

Just listened to Critchley’s post match after posting that. He is spitting feathers. Basically calls out the players for not giving everything and having the wrong attitude too.

The issue is with the players.

I don’t know how he or any coach fixes that. We don’t have the squad to drop 9/10 players.

I know it’s the worst time of year for it but we are going to need to sign some work horses and competitive nasty fcukers in Jan just to try to influence the group, even if they are league 2 standard technically.

I’d probably change style and shape too, just to mix it up. 352. Armstrong up with Dykes. No Chair or Willock for a bit.

If an offer comes in for someone and it’s half decent, accept it, reinvest in 2-3 players and try to change the characteristics of the group, even if our technical ability as a side worsens.

I can honestly say that I can’t remember an r’s manager talk about his players like that before
?maybe Olly did). And I’m seriously worried. Don’t blame him. How can we go from the all-press, all-energy game at Preston to the rest of the shite was have been served with ever since (except sheff u) how do we go from that to this abject utter utter shite? It’s unfathomable. And deeply concerning.

When the going is good they're fine. Sun is shining, loads of praise, everybody wants the ball. The moment a single moment of adversity, a bit of bad luck, a couple of bad results go against them they fold. They lack everything you need to succeed in professional sport - commitment, pride, mental strength. They're soft as fcking sht.

Because QPR is a nice soft touch and no other clubs wants these losers , this club has a losers mentality and until it changes from the top then we drifts long year in year out with the same old same old

And Bowles is onside, Swinburne has come rushing out of his goal , what can Bowles do here , onto the left foot no, on to the right foot That’s there that’s two, and that’s Bowles Brian Moore

I think he is trying to be very clear that they are not “his” players, certainly that they are not playing like his players. He has some personal pride too, and doesn’t want to be tarnished with that complete lack of effort from the players put out to represent the club.

The standards at this club are in the bin. It's in everything they do.

I watched the strikers warming up today, doing the touch off the assistant coach and a shot at the second choice keeper, and they're pissing about, they trying chips and lobs, they're missing and missing and missing and it doesn't matter, the whole thing is a big joke and a laugh. Ooooh Allbert's chipped the youth team goalkeeper look, what jolly japes, well done Albert.

Our subs come out at half time and mooch about in a couple of little groups, chatting, toeing a ball between them a bit, but there's no warm up, no preparation, no focus, it's just tin kicking until it's time to go sit down again.

We got a corner first half, our two best players go over and take a short one, pis about with it, fck it up with a penalty box full of players waiting, luckily for them it goes behind for another corner, they go over again, take it short again, pis about again, and it ends up back on the halfway line with Hamalainen trying, and failing, to trap it.

Tyler Roberts comes on, spends his whole time falling over, because at the start of the game it was dry, and now it's wet, and he's got the wrong fcking boots on, which he'd have realised if he'd actually run around or had a few shots or something at half time, instead of laughing and joking with the other loans and adjusting his fcking top knot.

We score an actual fcking goal, and they're so delighted with themselves that Fleetwood are able to kick off, and knock the ball over the head of our centre back, and nearly score an eqauliser immediately, because he's gone to get involved in celebrating Sam Field's sizzling one yarder and hasn't got his fcking ars back in position in time for the fcking kick off.

And it's all just fine.. They didn''t even get that much abuse at full time. At one point we'd have been ripping that stand apart.

I think you've done you're usual trick, Clive, of making this all sound better than it actually was. Whilst at the same time making it sound worse than it was somehow.

We need to give this team the season before judging.

In my opinion, the most telling post of the day, as it just goes to show how low the standards have fallen with the most simplest and obvious match day situations.

It's actually an embarassing read yet a must read, so that we all realise how even the simplest of procedures, requirements, actions, etc just aren't being followed.

And whilst I believe we have to give NC a lot more time, you'd be hard pressed to not find this post and NC's comments about Thursday's training and the subsequent team performance 2 days later, a concern.

Two 80's classic pop musical options await us;

Yazz - The Only Way Is Up
Haircut 100 - Where do we go from here? Is it down to League 1 I fear.

Been in the bin for a while though haven’t they?

I’ve been drifting away from the club for a couple of years for various reasons.
Now I feel completely disconnected from it and football in general.
I never ever thought I’d give up my season ticket as I’ve been thick and thin, Aussie soap for more years than I care to remember. Due to personal reasons of my own physical and mental health combined with the utter clown show we’ve invariably become under the Bungle Brothers care, I’m out; this season will be my last. I’ll have given them circa £500 up front for too many years and that’ll stop.

Football in general has been changing for donkeys, some of it great and for the better; but this sanitised, geeky and zero respect for fans game is miles from what I signed up to.
The most important thing for me was always the social side though and it’ll only be that which will keep me connected with W12.
I’ve only managed to make five games this season and, so far, the only game I’ll look back on fondly is the Luton game where a meet up of some top people from the best music thread on the internet was held….. two other games I’ve met friends and had a couple of beers and a laugh but this season has been the worst for me so far.

Yes the club has been in stickier patches, yes the football had been far worse in the past (honestly… it has!!!) and yes you gotta stick it out and be loyal. But when is enough enough? When does that straw break a camels back?

I loved you Queens Park Rangers Football Club, I always will, but I simply cannot give you the energy I once did.
I’ll be back but things need to change, mainly you not me!!

Sad………

Cherish and enjoy life.... this ain't no dress rehearsal

I do think the iteration of this team (Dieng, Dickie, Field, Chair, Dykes etc) has had its time and is done. They've been together 2 years now and the only consistency they showed was when there was nobody in the stands to berate them and (tellingly) when Austin and Johansen came in and (maybe?) set some standards.

It's a talented group for sure, but one that folds like a pack of cards.

Stay up this season needs to be the first aim... and from there work out the next iteration of QPR, because this one has run its course

I’m sorry to hear that you feel this way LBlock and I hope you have a club that you can be proud of and enjoy supporting, sooner rather than later.

I feel the pain too, it hurts, it really f ucking hurts. I love this club, unhealthily so, and I take it personally when we fail so badly.

One win in 11 and four, FOUR, goals in that time!! Ouch

The mentality of this squad is shot. All nice lads by the look of things and loads of talent, but too few (if any) are prepared to dig deep when things aren’t going their way. Anyone who went today, or paid money to watch us get turned over by Luton or Burnley or any other identical game in the last few seasons where we’ve been outfought by more mentally resilient opponents, has every right to be furious. Agree with every word Clive and others have posted following the game.

We know that being a QPR fan involves downsides. If we get beaten by a better team, so be it. But there’s a basic level of professional self-respect that you expect from players, which this current squad don’t seem capable of. There needs to be a fundamental shift in culture and some very hard truths spoken before we’re going to see any progress.

Surely the point is, they ARE capable of it but inexplicably throw in rubbish along with the genuinely good and hard working performances.

If we WERE just rubbish every week and 24th it might actually be easier to accept.

I get the criticism but no point rewriting history - we were NOT lucky to be top and even as recently as the Sheff Utd game, we put in 100% effort for 100 minutes, so they CAN do it.

What happened?

The CURSE happened. Back in the annals of QPR legend we did something. I don't what it was. Maybe our owner's horse ran over the child of a witch, maybe we built our ground on a gypsy burial site. Who knows?

But what I do know is that that day we suffered a curse.

"From this day until the end of time, you, QPR, will suffer the 'Curse of the Eternal Hooped C*nts'"

That's it. That's it in a nutshell.

If we were talking about Ray Harford's team, with George Kulscar and Tony Scully and prats like that, or that fcking John Curtis, Zesh Rehman shemozzle that Gregory and Waddock had, then you just have to throw your hands up and accept that they're not very good. This lot can be good, when there mind is in the right place. They've produced two or three of the best away performances I've seen from a QPR team in recent years, and they've done that literally in October. It's only January now.

It's always noisiest at the shallow end
