The thought had crossed my mind. Not sure. Will he be able to get his old window dressing job back in Westfield’s Stratford?

Not done a lot since leaving us, except expand his arse.

No thanks.

I'd prefer we look to strengthen other areas TBH as has been said not done alot since he left us. Strengthen the spine of the team by all means but lets not block a pathway for Kolli or Ahora

Mixed feelings amongst Luton fans. Most thought he played well and wasn't given a chance. However, apparently he is constantly injured and gets injured in most games he plays. So for me it's a huge YES!

Never knowingly right.

Difficult one. On the one hand he knows the championship intimately, QPR are light in midfield, he's an improvement on Dozzell, and he's a free agent. On the other, he's 31, has suffered some serious injuries in recent years, and would offer no future re-sale value. If he can prove his fitness and QPR can get him on a short-term contract on modest wages, then he could be useful stop-gap should Chair and/or Willock leave.

No. We need to stop this obsession with signing ex-players that were decent for us once upon a time, we need to be finding the next Luke Freeman when he played for Stevenage.

Poll: Which is the worst QPR team?

Probably a rare example of QPR obtaining a player for cheap at his peak, getting the best out of him, then maximising his value before it all goes south.

I liked Freeman when he played for us and am actually a bit sad he's not been able to hit higher highs than when he was with us, but I suspect his time has passed for us now. Best left back in 2019 (as if its 4 years since he left already!)

From your sentence outlining your misgivings, it sounds like he's a shoe-in at LR!

I'd rather sign today's equivalent of a Stuart Wardley, a Conor Washington or an El Kayati and them flop, than get Luke Freeman back.

Yes definitely

As a squad option better than what we currently have, I would assume.

While I agree with you, Paul Smyth has looked quite good so far.

What we should be doing and what we are capable of doing seem to be two entirely different things.

Can't imagine that even on a free he would accept out wage structure.

very much doubt he's in a place to negotiate that much.

Bare bones.

Maybe, but having had a significant part in a promotion last season, and been at a PL club before, I suspect he'd be looking for more than ten bob and a bag of chips from what used to be Ocean Billy's, or whatever it is we can afford to offer these days. My bet would be Colback is our "big money" contract this season.

If we were going to go for someone like Luke Freeman why didn't we go for the younger and similarish player Josh Bowler?

Luke Freeman.....on a free? on 16:11 - Aug 24 with 3875 viewsDavieQPR

He's averaged under 10 games a season since leaving us whilst scoring 1 goal. Shot his bolt nowdays.

Depends what happens re Willock and Chair.
If they go late in the window and we have v few options then perhaps.
We know he's the 'right sort' and can certainly do a job in that hustling/creative role.
Needs to be low wages though as there's zero sell on fee
