| Left back at the training ground 17:15 - Nov 1 with 3218 views | Jules4367 | Why Why Why!! For the last three seasons we have been vulnerable at left back with away teams cutting in and no one tackles them allowing them to get to the 6 yard line and chip!? I stand behind this game in game out and we ALL can see it yet no one af the club appears aware that we are vulnerable here and always down our left then centre then right!! We also have the worst record over three seasons for goals conceded within 10 mins from break🤬 | | | | |
| Left back at the training ground on 17:26 - Nov 1 with 3092 views | StreathamRanger | I'm not having Esquardina. Cost us two goals today with his mistakes. We can't be developing him in the first team. Get him out on loan if we think there's potential there. RND is a much better player than him at the moment. I also don't understand why Mbengue is in and out of the team. Yes he's mad but he's the only defender we have with pace and the only one capable of carrying the ball forward and causing trouble for the opposition. What's the point of playing cook of he's not going to be here next year. Mbengue and Morrison until JCS is ready to replace one of them. | | | |

A 115k teenager against a 17.5 million teenager, not easy for him. But he is a young player who we actually own doing his learning. If he was a young Prem loanee, sure I'd be sending him back tomorrow. Can't be learning on our time. But we own him and to develop young players, we need to accept this will happen sometimes. Now it is important to manage him and make sure he has learned from this. If we don't do this, we will never be the club we need to be

When he's not in the team he seems to post all sorts of shit on social media then when he plays he's thoroughly underwhelming. What's he good at? Can't defend very well and doesn't look much of a threat going forward Loves a long shot.

Not bothered what he does on Social Media, clearly not something that bothers the club either or he wouldn't be starting games. He has barely played 300 senior minutes for us as things stand, we can't be writing off young players like this. He has showed decent link up play, can tackle, I think there is promise to develop him personally. Again, so do the club, otherwise they wouldn't be doing it. If we are going to be the club that signs Ronnie Edwards from Barnet after 2 games for 50k, not Ronnie Edwards from Southampton after 200 games for multi millions, we need to accept players learning time on the pitch, in a hooped shirt.

If Larkeche didn't get that bad injury he'd probably be learning at some national league side.

If Larkeche didn't get that injury, we'd not have signed RND

Dont think anyone is writing him off, but I do think a loan spell would help him

There may be plenty of potential there but having him develop in the first team and costing us goals like he did today doesn't seem the smartest move. I don't see a great deal in him that excites me but perhaps he could go on to be a useful player. We could really do with a couple of proper full backs as Dunne at right back is looking a little tired right now. | | | | Login to get fewer ads

He was at fault for goals 1 and 3. He literally can’t defend. He’s been a poor man’s Paal so far when I have seen him play. Our recruitment at full back has been so poor.

If that be the case, then why has the club, or rather Nourry, ostracised Kolli. Last year, at the same age as the much-vaunted and overrated Esquerdinha: 19, he was performing at levels that were commensurate with the Championship. He never looked out of place as Esquerdinha does at this level. This isn't the first time that he has been found wanting; Preston's equaliser, long punt from their keeper, was down to his poor positioning and inability to react in time. Incidentally, the player that beat him so easily with the most basic of skills: drop shoulder and step-over all in a straight line, is the same age: 19. It's the lack of desire to attempt to make a recovery tackle; Esquerdinha just ambles alongside the Ipswich player. Yet he's deemed as being the better prospect. Not for me. I wish him well and hope I'm proved wrong, but I'm getting N Hamalainen vibes than anything stellar. The two best prospects from that age group, and by a long distance, still remain Kolli and Morgan. For a club whose "mantra" purports to be promoting, supporting and giving playing opportunities to youngsters of championship calibre, it's rather puzzling that the two best prospects have had next to no real opportunities this season and makes a mockery of such claims. He's had some decent games and a poor one today but even the mistakes he made today should not have led to a goal if the rest of the team was doing their jobs properly. Lets hope he learns from today and for me its on the manager as this was not the game to play him

Really! He's not the only player to have taken on shots against the odds which have ended up way off target. Plenty of those to choose from, in the past, from players such as Chair and Hugill. The kid does have a good shot but got that one all wrong. I can forgive that. He's probably trying a bit too hard, at times, leading to his errors. Needs to be taken out of the team for a while to learn from them and avoid repeating them.

He was thrown under the bus yesterday, should never have started. Players like Esquerdinha need second half minutes and a slow introduction to Championship football.
