If they decide to play games behind closed doors there needs to be a backlash from fans. Pep Guardiola and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer have already said the game is for the fans and they shouldn't be playing behind closed doors. I suspect that will be the general consensus among football people, players and supporters. The EFL's over-the-top PPV platform is awful. They make it as hard as possible to cast to a television and despite having a 500mbps line I find the frame rate to be abysmal making some games unwatchable. I get angry just thinking about iFollow. |  | | |

One thing's for sure - if matches are going to be played behind closed doors or postponed, fans should be given sufficient notice (i.e. at least 4-5 days) so they're not spending on travel plans and accommodation
If the government were to announce this weekend's fixtures as being affected, that'd be really, really poor. At least give people chance to make informed decisions about attendance |  |

People following large clubs usually have to apply for away tickets weeks before a game, if travelling by air/train it is usually better to book well in advance, as it is for hotels I’m not sure it will make much difference when the decision is made, it’s going to be inconvenient . My last away game at Donny, I bought the match and train tickets a week beforehand, so would have still lost out.
If we believe the government is making the right decisions at the right time, I guess we have to suck it up | |

Managing the situation to be controllable within our resources and secondary having the least effect on the economy as a whole.

It seems to me that those of us who are retired should stay inside and hibernate for a month or so, do our shopping at night and stay away from people we dont know.
If we dont get this virus, the hospitals will be better able to cope with those who have to work and be out and about picking up kids from schools etc.. the younger and fitter you are, the less the risk of serious consequences from the infection, taking 20 or 30% of the population out of the equation by asking them just to stop going out unless absolutely neccessary seems a sensible course of action. |  | | |

Just heard a few youths / early 20's guys laughing about coronavirus, saying just like a bad cold and they would soon get over it, still going to pubs and clubs etc, not bothered at all. Problem is when they visit their parents/grandparents and unwittingly pass it on to them then the worry starts. No I am advocating you dont socialise and go out shopping at busy times, you can go outside as much as you like as the virus isnt airborne. You may be as fit as a fiddle but exceptions dont disprove the general idea of keeping the most vulnerable indoors and generally out of harms way by removing a large slice of the population from the problem, the medical services will be freed up to deal with younger peoplemwho have problems. | | | |

The latest announcement suggests that whilst this weekends fixtures will go ahead (one or two exceptions apart) then early next week might see a step change in restrictions on large gatherings - so the Tranmere fixture could either be in doubt or the last one to be played for a while, which would put even more pressure onto it | |
