Perhaps we should have tried a bit harder to retain Bola.....anything better than this lot?

Most of Wigan's attacks are coming down our right, the problem is that Keohane is not a right back and McNulty is downright poor as normal.

BBM should have addressed the right back position in the pre-season, we all knew that Mcloughlin would have issues with his fitness. why did we not sign somebody as cover?

It was 'addressed' by re-signing McLaughlin, why, I do not know. Absolute passenger and waste of a wage.

We don't have anyone in the entire squad that is a natural left back do we?

We also seem to have gone back to playing around at the back. Roberts has been going forward with no-one in from of him, then stopping & passing sideways or backwards. Unfathomable really as it has failed so many times at home

Our midfield is non-existent

It's either faff about at the back or long ball out of play

Poor doesn't do it justice

Aside from the goal, I cannot think of a single positive thing to say about this first half.

It's that bad and then some.

Beesley and Lund need to switch.

Or Newby on for Beesley.

Lund playing so far forward isn’t working today and Beesley is a passenger wide. Get the latter up front and Rathbone Playing right midfield to at least stem the flow a bit.

Once more though, the defenders shouldn’t even be thinking of anything but keeping a solid shape but they’re not even doing that.

Let's hope it's the usual Tale of Two Halves Jobby......and we finally turn up after the break?

Since Done came back and we signed McNulty, we must have wasted a fortune over around 10 years. Neither have been good enough since day 1 yet they still steal a wage.

BBM also seems obsessed with signing crocks, we can afford to have passengers.

Despite the Dale commentators, it looked like McNulty hit him in the bollocks with his hand.

Looked a bad decision in real time, on the replay not sure, maybe slowing down the replay made it look worse than it was.

Madley had reffed well up to that point but that decision was wrong. Joseph made a complete meal of it, as did their bench.

Red card. He swung his legs round and into the Wigan player who then made a big meal of it. Yet again, gave the ref a decision to make.

Looking at the replay, he makes the action of kicking out. Their player exaggerated any contact but no need for Jim to do that. Gave the ref the option of sending him off

Gave the ref enough reason to have to make a decision

Really not that bothered, don't think it'll affect the result

Given up trying to analyse our performances. We aren't going to adapt our play to suit the players we have so until we fill the gaps with new players we'll keep seeing the same things. Guess I should just try to enjoy the ride.

This particular ride is like being stuck on a rollercoaster when you hate heights and anything remotely fast.

Defence is abysmal.

I don't want to be hard on the lad but Jake Beesley is in George Donnelly territory. Runs plenty but zero end product.

Humphrys has been our best attacking threat and our best defender.

Shocking decision for the red card against Jim. Although, Rathbone was lucky not to get a card for getting in the lads face whilst he was on the ground.

*EDIT* Having seen the replay on this thread I totally retract that statement. Absolutely a red card. Stupid behaviour from Jim.

This awful to watch. We are definitely second best. Has anyone else noticed Robert's constant passing to McNulty. Won't be now Jim red card. With 10 men we are stuffed. Rubbish football, playing backwards again

McNulty has been a good servant and played his part in teams pushing for the playoffs and a big part when using a back three that kept us up under Hill. Let’s not rewrite history just because a player isn’t good enough now.
