Bury, some mortgage questions.... 18:10 - Jun 24 with 10755 viewsRAFCBLUE

Interestingly this has surfaced today:

http://portvaleonline.com/BuryFC/BuryFC_Mortgage_Debenture.pdf

It's a mortgage document for Gigg Lane. Raised on Wednesday 29th May, as the paperwork was concluded on the bury takeover ( http://www.buryfc.co.uk/news/article/statement-takeover-completed-834927.aspx)

Got to say, they are fast workers!

Funny how:

1) A club that has no debts now has a mortgage
2) A board that have yet to sign a single new player have sanctioned a charge over their ground.
3) This document surfaces on the day that the new chairman says "judge me in three years"

I guess they can't say that they are mortgage free anymore!

Looking at the so called list of businesses etc who have bought into Bury FC one named is Crown Oil..
Now i know a person or company cannot own two football vlubs at the same as its in the FA rules....
But is it allowed to own a club and sponsor another club.....

1. As previously mentioned (ad nauseum) the promise to would be investors in Bury FC was that their investment would be secured.

As this shows and as previously mentioned, this investment could only be secured against one thing. Gigg Lane.

To say I am unsurprised by this revelation is an understatement.

To say that repeated default re-payments on the mortgage would allow SCS to take ownership of Gigg Lane is a bit too obvious.

2. Looksee the witness on page 25. If this all goes wrong Captain Gordon will be a very popular individual indeed.

I'm amazed the legal document got out.

All there is a requirement to do is to file the particulars and form with Companies House and the Land Registry, the disclosure of the agreement is an amateurish error - god knows how the Port Vale lot got hold of it.

And Gordon Sorfleet, trumpeteer of the revolution signed it off as witness (one assumes with a thorough legal knowledge of the facts and having taken good legal advice to be sure he understood it). But he has been good enough to list his address for #buryfc revolutionaries to come round for tea and coffee.

You could not make this up.

The alternate way of looking at this is that it is simply business practice, as new owner of Bury, Stewie is securing his investment and there's nothing more to it than that.

Also, given the mass exodus of every man and his dog, the only reliable employee who could witness such a document was Captain Gordon.

There you go, an open mind. Space Cadets have open minds too.

Gordon Sorfleet Hang your head in shame.

Panic signing after the panic statements and the whole club looks in disaray running around like headless chickens.

The die was cast when the first official notice was posted. The content and panic was there for all to see and it appeared very serious. We just didnt know how serious as casual observers.

24 hours later - they tried to retract and calm the waters with an equally bonkers statement saying that all was well again!!! after 24 fookin hours!!!

I thought then this smelled of something. Now i seriously worry for the future of bURY as this latest revalation only smacks of asset stripping and no fooker at Gigg seems to be bothered.

where are our shaker pals on this board to comment as the silence is almost deafening??.

No club or death by a thousand cuts. either way it looks like big trouble down at giggle.

I actually feel sorry for them but my pity is tempered when you read the delusional shaker comments on their messageboard.

Just cant predict to see how the next 3 months pan out but for sure it will be an interesting watch....

Your point in the middle is the one, that I've said countless times, is the most alarming where you've said "where are our shaker pals on this board to comment as the silence is almost deafening??."

It is beyond my comprehension as to why that is the case. We'd be up in arms and I for one wouldn't sleep for shouting and screaming from the rooftops trying to find a solution. Where the hell are you Bury fans? Does none of this concern you?!

Absolutely mental.

They obviously don't have the same 'kicking down the door' attitude as you/us.

Quite why that should be baffles me. There are enough of them with enough Giggle blood in their veins to actually give a ?@{) but somehow or other, terminal apathy seems to have set in.

Puzzling in the extreme..................it's as if it's not worth bothering.

We know what will happen. They'll defend it at the forum and their main cheerleaders will be singing their praises yet again and the revolution will be full steam ahead. The new board will probably mention a couple of names that they are in talks with, and they'll get all giddy again. Just like when the Venkys mentioned Beckham and Ronaldihno. This will all be forgotten about before the weekend. Its the Baldrick mentality all over again.

just had this little beauty land in my inbox....

Firstly, the board would like to make it very clear that Mr Perry Deakin is not a shareholder or director of Bury FC, but has been contracted as a commercial consultant to advice the club on sales activity across our commercial operation.

We carried out significant due-diligence before approaching Perry and he was highly recommended by several extremely successful and high profile individuals within the sports industry. Perry’s 12 year history of commercial sports success working for several years with individuals such as Karren Brady at Birmingham City, we feel will only add to the talented team we are assembling here at Bury.

Mr Deakin has proven to be very professional in all aspects of his consultancy role and this wave of wild and inaccurate speculation will only hamper the progress we have made in our short time at the club and ultimately the clubs future financial well-being.

The board, of course, appreciate concerns, but only has the football clubs best interests at heart and is working tirelessly to secure a long-term, successful future of which our supporters can be proud. Our priority moving forward is to make Bury FC an independent financial business that can stand on its own two feet.

We strongly believe that people should only be judged on performance and we ask that judgement is made at the end of the season rather than making comments on non-proven third party statements.

The board is disappointed by some of the language being used by ‘fans’. However, we believe it is only a minority who think this board would do anything to damage the club moving forward.

As fans have seen, many decisions have already been made in the best interest of the club, and todays return for pre-season training demonstrates our scouting network has already reached beyond the wildest dreams of many fans who believed we would struggle to field a squad able to compete during the coming season.

Therefore we politely request that employees and consultants be allowed to continue to work incredibly hard in providing you with a club you can be proud of and be judged on what they deliver rather than gossip.

Thank you for your patience.

Rattled.

30 trialists does not demonstrate a "scouting network" nor does it it justify a "squad able to compete".

How come there are emails kicking around to a select few rather than on the club site/Twitter?

I'm sure I heard it said that it was 'the passion for this club within the town of Bury' that was one of the instrumental reasons for the takeover.

What could possibly have upset them so quickly after the arrival of the Messiah ?
