No, looking forward to watching some international football over the next few days as it comes to the business end of qualifcation.

Cant wait to come back on here tomorrow to see people moaning that we haven’t thrashed Serbia 10-0 even though we’ve already won the group.

I lost any interest in corrupt and tiresome International football some time ago. These breaks give me a chance to do something with the family that isn't football, it turns out

I'll be at Wembley: looking forward to it. It's always a good opportunity to see top class players we don't usually see, like the Juventus striker Dušan Vlahović tonight.

Just seeing any sort of a striker will be a novelty to a Saints fan.

When Double D Dangerous AKA Mara MK II slam dunks goals against Paraguay and Uruguay you’ll be eating your words!!

He of course will be too tired to be in the squad v Charlton having flown back all that way in Business Class on Thursday.

I really don't get this mindset.

International football is surely the purest and least corrupt form of football.

There are no transfer fees, tapping up of players and managers, or re-scheduling of games for TV which could suit certain teams.

FIFA are full of bad eggs, and yes, tournaments are played in countries they shouldn't be in. This is true.

But the actual football in the major tournaments is as exciting and genuine as anything you will see.

I enjoy watching England play in major tournaments but if it was a choice of watching Saints or England its Saints every time for me.

Why is it then that if you look at the highest ever recorded TV viewing figures, apart from events like Diana's funeral and Dirty Den telling Angie he wanted a divorce (those were the days....), it tends to be big England games that get all the highest viewing figures?

No, he's right. When international tournaments are on, ok you may have 30 million watching at home like you say, but there are no England flags anywhere, the pubs are empty and no fan parks are open.

These days I still love the actual tournament and the country gets behind the team we've been pretty good which helps.
I cant stand the endless qualifying which is usually a formality against various islands and Eastern European teams.
I guess those game are for middle class families to attend but sport is boring without jeopardy.

I saw your flag on the wall of the home end last night. I was just across the corner. facing it, in Block 118. We both had a good view of Eze's goal.

With Saka and Eze on the wings, England, like Arsenal, look very difficult to stop.

I watched on telly but Eze looked really good, his best game for England. I'd rather him or Gordon on the left rather than Rashford who remains unconvincing. Tuchel played Eze at 10 before which seems a mistake to me. Hopefully with all the other 10 options he never does that again.

I've taken the opportunity to have a weekend away on my own and gone to watch Finland v Malta. Nothing I like more than visiting different cities around Europe and taking in a match. My mum grew up in Malta so I am taking Malta's win as a win for me

I was born in Malta (my dad was a submariner in the RN and based there) and I love going back now & again. Lovely, happy, friendly people. That win in Finland today was outstanding!
