For arguments sake you could say that the referee cost us a point against Wimbledon and then today at 1-1 a debatable sending off quickly followed by a blatant handball costs us. This although true cannot hide us from the glaring facts that Lonergan despite conceding 9 (NINE) has been the best player last 2 games and that Dale are shot. Confidence has gone, players aren’t up to it.
The first half today was one of the worst performances seen in a long time. Every fan I spoke to a half-time was ultra critical. As it stands at the moment I cannot see survival and I was positive all through last season. Unfortunately though I don’t think the board have the balls to sack Hill and that we will stumble on to relegation and trips to Crawley next season.

Relegation looking a very real possibility now, Christ knows what they work on in training? If we stay up this season at least ten players need to be got rid of. Sadly we have no one in the entire squad who could argue if the manager decided they were surplus to requirements. Even our better players are average at best, many of them would struggle even in the Championship. I hope we can stay up and that the manager stays, if this happens I pray he is given the means to totally transform the squad.

I don't know about Tenerife more like Good Grief,if this doesn't get Stephens dropped after another pathetic display l don't know what would. Another screw up that caused 2 goals to be scored again.Only Bednarek played with commitment and thank God for him otherwise it could of been 6 goals.I don't want to hear how well we played in the second half it's a 90 minutes game not 45minutes.

Unfortunately RH has to take a lot of blame for this defeat by picking Stephens who was directly at fault for both Arsenal goals-to be fair he probably would’ve expected more from him after trusting him so i’m sure he won’t make that mistake again.....

Positives? A 15 minute intense, angry, aggressive start to the 2nd Half. & our goal difference didn’t take a bashing.

P.s don’t boo your own players during the game a la Stephens however bad they are.

have to do away with this 5 at the back with jack stephens & the other mistake to happen yoshi better to play 2 up front that way at the very leist you put pressure up front.
our midfield is perfect but every week its the back 3 thats very weak & now we have only one legged cart horses yes they can score but they put so much pressure on the backs by being far to slow .

its time to put ryan at the centre of defence or even oriol it simple cant be any worse / or even play 3 upfront goals wins games / not bloody draws

Simply dreadful. A totally inept performance from beginning to end. If this is the best we can do then we deserve to go down.

Hasenhüttl has had enough time to fix things but he seems to be having no more success than his predecessors. Not surprising really when he starts with Stephens, Ward Prowse, Targett and Valery and has no recognised fit strikers.

Today's mystery was his removal of Armstrong at HT when the guy was having a half decent game whereas others like the hapless and woeful Ward Prowse was left on the pitch to continue his team spectator role?

Why doesn't somebody put Austin out of his misery by not embarrassing the poor sod by putting him on the pitch to look like the clodhopper he has become.

I am not sure when we cant beat are relegation rivals whether anybody really expected anything from a visit to Arsenal. However it does seem so disappointing how we gift the opposition goals. Keeping the goals down to 2 could be crucial in staying up. I am really struggling to find any enthusiasm at the moment. Only good news of the day was Puel been given the boot by Leicester. Saints made the right decision in hindsight as has been proved with Leicester's strange form.

Not that anybody was expecting us to win, but a point would have been nice, and it seems to me it could have been possible. But the usual story...we can't score goals so a couple of mistakes at the back mean defeat. I said this here before, that it might be the case that Hasenhuttl will save us, but that doesn't mean he doesn't make mistakes. In fact, it's not very encouraging to think that this is the performance we get from his team right after he's just had 2 clear weeks to sort things out. His biggest error, of course, is sticking with Stephens who, not content with giving away a goal every game, has now upped it to two! But I think RH makes wrong decisions quite often. The JWP, Armstrong Redmond format was never going to work, and when it didn't he made another mistake by taking off Armstrong. I'm agnostic about Gunn...people seem to like him better than McCarthy, but that's an opinion based on scant evidence. And finally, let's face it, it's the manager's error to put Obafemi on if his injury hadn't properly healed! The only bright spot all day was not seeing Long in the squad!

This defence could get us relegated - lose to Fulham and the 'could' becomes 'will' in my view. RH publicly stated that he was happy with not signing anyone in January. I think he was lying - because if he wasn't then I think he was extremely over-confident or even foolish.

It really has reached the stage where I am desperate for a player that I don't rate very highly (Yoshi) to come back into the side. If we do survive then major surgery is needed. I would also reckon that some of the better players further up the pitch may well decide they've had enough. They have an even better view of our CBs than we do...
