Bit harsh considering he's a club legend don't you think?

Instead of booing Williams why not channel all your energy into getting behind the eleven players in white shirts? Biggest game since we were promoted to the big league and all that .....

You might think I've forgotten, but one day, when you least expect it, my time will come.

Maybe he'll be expecting the "he's captain of Wales" song.

Complete indifference, won't boo or clap him. He's not a swans player now.

Booooooooooo!
F*ck him.
He's not even Welsh.
Etc.Etc.

I want a mate like Flashberryjacks, who wears a Barnsley jersey with "Swans are my second team" on the back.

Considering the reception Joe got down here, Williams hasn't got much hope.

A minutes applause in the 6th minute.

Seriously though, who gives a f*ck. There's always threads about the reception to former player and whether they've been booed or cheered. I think we've got bigger things to worry about...I couldn't give a toss if he was given a standing ovation before kick off. That's the premier league for you.

Of course I will be getting behind the team, and the more pressure and grief Williams get the more chance of him having a wobble and doing something stupid.

He didn't want to play for us so I really couldn't give a fuçk what reception he gets.

He should be met with complete and utter silence every time he goes near the ball.

Right up until his 50p head smashes in an owngoal in the 90th minute to provide us with a winner. Shortly followed by a course of "you jack b@stard"

"Michu, Britton and Williams could have won 3-0 on their own. They wouldn't have required a keeper."

This pretty much sums it up, and is the difference between booing Joe Allen and booing Ash.

Which unfortunately is probably what he will get! He should be ignored and we should back our players unitl either.

(a) politely clapped at the end of the game when they have lost.

or

(b) politely clapped off the field when he's been substituted at 3-0 because he's had a howler and lost them the game.

I think I'll reserve my booing for cheating sods like Dele Alli and Rashford, not for someone who gave us years of good service. That said I won't be cheering him either, on Saturday at 5.30 he becomes the enemy.

Happy to give him a round of applause when he's leaving the field and "helped" us to win the game ;)

Or if he gets booed he might do the opposite and have a stormer

Fwiw I think he should be applauded briefly for his long service then we should channel the aggression into geting behind our boys

He's going to be trying to help relegate us and people want to applaud him?

F*ck my eyes mun he should be booed to the point of tears ffs.

Booing him and getting fully and vociferously behind our own team are not mutually exclusive.

Spot on - as with all returning former players - just treat him like any other opposition player. If he should acknowledge the crowd on being substituted or at the end of the game, as long as he's been a good boy (!), then he would deserve a round of applause. But booing? Never. Pathetic - f***ing grow up.

Ashley Williams on 21:28 - May 3 with 3572 viewsnantywatcher

Never was his biggest fan - but I think a few seconds applause before the game (as per Ben Davies reaction a few weeks ago) would be entirely appropriate - after that ignore him and hope he comes up with one of his Mahrez specials

The correct answer is hostile as fook, while backing the Swans

Anyone playing nice on Saturday has no place being there. We're playing for survival here.
