Loads of report suggesting it's a done deal at a bargain basement price for such a quality player
If this is the case then someone at the club needs shooting for selling him , especially at that price

Hope this is true. If he moves, he moves. We need to start getting top money for our assets.

Personally, I think the club are trying to make him hand in a transfer request. Which, if he wants to leave, is exactly what we should be doing. If not, then he's happy enough to stay unless we get an offer way too good to refuse. We don't want a payet situation on our hands though, so the club has to be careful.

If that's the way it plays out then the rich americans are leaning heavily on HJ.

It was never a done deal.

Don't believe everything in the media.

£40 million plus and he's got to go. That would give PC a considerable amount of funds to replace Gylfi, and even use some of it to improve other positions, ST, another CM and a RB.

Paul Clement only made it to non-league and most would say he understood the game. Paul Merson played the game at the highest level, and he's a f*cking idiot.

Makes no difference if you've played the game at a high level, a low level or not at all. If you've got a decent brain in your head you're capable of understanding the game as well as anybody.

I don't think Mourinho played at all?

Can see what's happening here.. we've probably valued Siggy at £32M then realised his true value which is £40M plus.. the club now are valuing Siggy at £50M to save some face and will be sold to Everton for £35M which will be undisclosed so we will not know that for sure bit the board will been seen to force the sale and get best value.

Shame we didn't value Siggy correctly from the start but hey ho... Judas and the board were too busy counting the windfall before its landed.

We didn't value Siggy at £30 Million, that was Evertons valuation of the player!

Or perhaps it's just the press making sh1t up as they normally do.

No official offer or interest had come in from any other team, so there was no need to throw out a valuation as Gylfi had already said that he was happy here.

Now an official offer has come in from Leicester, whose hand has been forced by the made up stories in the press that Everton are going to table a £32 million offer, and Leicester have had to trump that with £40 million - probably agents stirring the shite to get the price up.

After the official offer from Leicester has come in, the board can now tell the world exactly how much they value Gylfi at?

Just another opinion, because none of us really know what goes on.

£40 million plus and he'll be off.

We would never sell for £30 million, even to us that's a ridiculously low valuation for our best player. Although that sum of money sounds rather nice, PC, HJ and the rest need to ensure that the best replacement is sought, and no doubt there are a few targets in mind for them if this deal does go through.

Wasn't so long ago we sold Trundle to Bristol for mega money, and him going onto an astronomical wedge. About a million quid or something.

The Everton owner apparently said he wants 3 more signings before the window closes, I think the delay with Sigurdsson is not the fee but more likely us sorting out a replacement for him.

I have no problem with Gylfi leaving the club. My issue is that we should not be accepting £32M. He is worth more.

Broadly this - I'd prefer him to stay but if he is indicating any degree of interest AND the toffees get around the £45M+ zone I'd be ok with that.

If his true value was £40m+ then why would we sell at £35m?! For such an important player the buying club would have to stump up ABOVE his true value for us to sell
