Lets look at this logically......IF Kingsley is part of the deal then we might only be paying around 8/9M for him.

Kingsley has to be worth 5/7M in todays market.

IF Kingsley is not part of the deal then WTF is the club playing at!?

If Kingsley goes where is our Left back cover?

We sold Cork for 10m, and now we're paying up to 16.5 mil for Clucas. Is he better than Cork then?

Honestly, I really don't know what to say anymore.

He is twice the player than Cork, Clucas ripped us apart in midfield last season and is more than a average player. People will be expecting us to sign Costa next

Far too many on here living on last year's prices. Everything has gone up so adjust yourselves to that.

And let's give the guy a chance before ripping him apart.

Everyone likes a moan now and then but the amount going on here at the moment is beyond. The club has just bought a promising player with PL experience. Yet people moan.

To be fair the club are damned if they do and if they don't.

Clucas was one of Hull's best players last season. He is a decent midfielder who is versatile and will add a lot more dog to midfield. For one he can tackle. PC will have seen him against us last season when we capitulated at the KC twice. Probably the first of three in. Perhaps Arias and Bony are the targets and we are going three at the back with two upfront. In which case a Mesa, Clucas and Carroll midfield makes sense. Given our appalling wingers perhaps this is the option. In my mind this is a PC not Jenkins signing

This guy can play Attacking Midfielder, for £16.5m, he's the one they have chosen.

I've never noticed him when I have watched Hull play, so considering he is now our record signing (if he does sign), to say I'm underwhelmed would be an understatement. We'll see how it pans out soon enough though.

He's a lot cheaper than the figures being mentioned for Chadli. Could be very useful If he's half as versatile as he seems. Adding together all the different posts about him, seems he is capable of playing (or has played):

Wing
AM
CM
DM
Left back
Wing back
(even appearances at CB have been mentioned)

Who knows quite where we'll fit him into the squad at the moment, but we all know we're desperate for someone half decent with a bit of pace and a good defensive game who can play left wing/AM. Not as a 'Siggy replacement' as such, but to play in the area of the field we ended up shoehorning Siggy into last season. You know, the bit where Routledge has been wasting a shirt recently. If Clucas is capable of doing that on a par with Chadli, it leaves us more money to spend on someone like Arias.

If we buy Arias, I'd guess Naughton will be both right and left back cover.

If we bring in a few new players as mentioned, it will be interesting to see what happens to the likes of Routs and Dyer. And Montero of course.

CLUCAS BID ACCEPTED

Hull have accepted a bid from Swansea for midfielder Sam Clucas. We understand the fee could rise to £16.5million . .

It'll be nice to add an average PL player to the ranks, it can relegate one of the poor ones to the bench.

Personally i think even in todays market that we have paid 8m too much for him.

Believe we could have got alot better for the money. Stinks of desperation for me.

Cork at £10m or Clucas at £16m. Which is the better bit of business?

I feel we've been robbed, twice.
