A bar in the village of Bardi has a Jack flag on display. When I was there we asked the owner to put on the Burnley game on and there were 10 of us watching.

As you say, an awful lot of Jacks of Italian descent, me included.

A couple of lads took the flag that we were given at the Capital Cup final.
Actually I was in there in August and it's no longer there. Paolo's an AC Milan fan
Must get him another. If he removes it it'll be horse's head time.

Back in 2003 I was at an Internazionale match and the Italian bloke in front of me turned round and asked where I was from. I told him. He said “So am I”. His Italian parents had lived in Swansea in the 1960s but moved back.

Used to be 4 Italian run cafes in the Bont, all long gone now unfortunately, including the legendary Aldo's that had 3 full size snooker tables out back. Loved that place; and Domachi's had the best ice cream. |  |

My grandmothers 2nd cousin was one of the brothers to start up the Berni inns.
All my family originate from Bardi

Frank and Aldo Berni started Berni Inns. My Dad was a friend. I met Aldo once when I was a young lad.. He came to our house in a chauffeur driven Roller.
Go to Bardi during the summer hols. Most people will be speaking English with a Welsh accent.

My great grandfather owned the dairy in Swansea (that later became Unigate), so knew all the Italian families as his milk was pretty useful for the ice cream :-) He was a good friend of Joe as well :-) [Post edited 9 Nov 2017 21:13]

My Dad opened the Burlington Restaurant in 1950. But he wasn't involved in the Windsor..
They may have known each other in the 50's, because Dad returned to Italy in 1960.
