Fulton and Routs 09:42 - Aug 12 with 10647 views | 34dfgdf54 | Nixon reporting both could be on their way. Fulton - £800k loan with an option for permanent. Routs - QPR talking, depends on figures.

Fulton and Routs on 09:54 - Aug 12 with 4510 views | awayjack | Routs good move for all parties. Fulton - just why ? He started last two matches and we are desperately short in DM / CM. He's not earning much so Board clowns can't use the 'we're broke' line. It's Nixon so go a lot wrong already this window.

Fulton and Routs on 10:02 - Aug 12 with 4416 views | magicdaps10 | If they get rid of Fulton then it is obvious what is happening. He ticks every box in regards to players coming in. He is young, cracking attitude and does not break the wage structure and on top of that is justifying his starting place at present.

Same with me, he impressed. Some guy in the pub reckons Andy King is signing this week, that would be a big signing for the Championship.
Fulton and Routs on 10:04 - Aug 12 with 4384 views | jasper_T | We'd have to bring in a specialist holding mid to risk losing Fulton, surely. We have depth in midfield around/not far off Fulton's level (Byers, Dhanda, Grimes) and Fer's coming back into the starting lineup in the next few weeks, but the balance of that starting three has to be right, it's not just about numbers. Would love to see Routledge and Rangel and QPR this season.
Fulton and Routs on 10:05 - Aug 12 with 4378 views | Swans_16 | Impressed me yesterday, did a lot of hidden stuff. Helped out at the back, and got forward really well. Definitely on the ‘Keep’ list, even moreso given our already threadbare squad.
Fulton and Routs on 10:06 - Aug 12 with 4368 views | magicdaps10 | We need holding midfielders too allow the forward thinking players the chance to express themselves.

You’d have thought we’d have needed to bring in a specialist centre back to risk losing Mawson, Fernandez, Bartley and Amat

Yes it would. Experienced head to compliment our younger players, and despite Fulton’s good form, an upgrade. [Post edited 12 Aug 2018 10:26]

Andy King would not be a big signing in the Championship. Don't be so silly.

I’ll rephrase it. A good signing and an important one for us.

Big wages, maybe. | | | |
Fulton and Routs on 10:30 - Aug 12 with 4039 views | E20Jack | Understand the Routledge one. Prem wages and probably won’t feature much. If Fulton was to go I can only imagine it may be to make way for the Woods loan to buy deal. But I am just speculating.

It’s weird Woods is still out of Brentford squad. Could still be talking and the Fulton money is needed to fund the extra £500k they spoke about. Would still need another midfielder in on loan if one was to go though whether we get Woods or not.

Isn’t it obvious anyway, without Fulton possibly going?

I agree. Another journeyman pro seeing out his career and boosting his pension fund at our expense. Have we learned nothing In the past two or three years? We want young and hungry, not ready for the knacker's yard.

We're going to have 50 odd games this year, we'll need Fulton +1, not replacement. I can see Leon coming out of retirement at this rate.

Fulton and Routs on 11:27 - Aug 12 with 3538 views | BytholWyn | Great to see Fer back yesterday, but can't help wondering if his eagerness to come back may have something to do with putting himself in the shop window before the transfer/loan window closes. Perhaps I'm being a bit cynical, but can anyone blame me? As for Andy King - no thanks. Solid pro who could do a job at Championship level, but lacks the dynamism and sureness of touch that we need to re-invent the Swansea Way. I can't see it happening but I'd love to see us sign Ampadu (that's Ethan not Kwame) on loan. He may be only 17, but he's been superb in pre-season, the pesonification of old head on young shoulders, with the likes of Morata and Luiz singing his praises. He's unlikely to feature much for Chelsea, Sarri has pretty much said so already, so a loan move would be good for them and us. He's equally accomplished at centre back and as a defensive mid - so if this is an option we shouldn't hesitate. Ampadu is the next big thing as far as Welsh footie's concerned, let's hope we can capitalise on his talent.

Fer been clear he wants to stay so don't expect to go. Ampadu ticks many boxes. King. He'd do a job if we can't get likes of Woods.
