Not going to defend the World Cup antics, but you're having a go at him over an altercation with a gobby member of Chelsea's groundstaff (in which Evra did not accuse anyone of racist comments, that accusation came from others present) and an occasion when he was racially abused by another player (who later refused to shake his hand and has bitten other players on 3 separate occasions).
Then you're somehow using this as a stick to beat Sterling with. How's that work, are they both the same in your eyes because they have similar skin colour?

Racially abused by another player you say ?, that would not have stood up in a court of law, that is why the English FA should not have got involved, they threw the book at Suarez for nothing [8 games was it ?, for what ?], in fact the racism could have been against Suarez if as reported Suarez ethnicity was brought into it, the English FA was even labelled racist themselves for taking Suarez on for what many thought was next to nothing, what Suarez said he did not think was racist and apparently a South American Spanish speaker in evidence thought it was not racist. A word or phase used in a tv advert or was it the name of the product advertised on tv, I cant remember now.
Evra seems to me to be a very dangerous character.

Is Joey Barton (one sentence for assault, one suspended sentence, a number of other assaults, banned from football for 18 months) really a 'pantomime villain'?
He does seem to have calmed down in recent years, but his litany of crimes far outweighs whatever Sterling has - and in most cases, hasn't - done.
Maybe we should just all ignore redtops and the 'journalism' they provide.
