Thought we might need one of these now that silly season has started.

Matt Grimes is open to joining Everton from "Football Insider" - how reliable are they? They say in another article that Brighton are looking at Chris Wilder after being frustrated in their attempt to talk to Potter.

According to who?

A lad I know who went to the Carmarthen game for one.

Came on for Ollie Cooper yesterday after an hour and of the pair it wasn't the trialist Torquay were impressed by.

We've just appointed Watford's former sporting director as head of recruitment.

Ex Brentford as well.

Strange how we didn't get Salter over Birmingham, it's either Birmingham guranteed him football or he choose them himself.

That’s part of what I meant about offering Chelsea a sweeter deal, as it’ll be all about loan fee, game time, and proportion of wages.

More night clubs in and easier journey from Brum to London.
Not happy with Abraham's loan.

Do you think we need Palmer? He didn't seem to do a lot at Bristol City last season

Doesn't score many. 3 seasons of Championship level (or above) under his belt. Not too much to get excited about at first glance.

What we desperately needed were 2-3 in who are of the quality to go straight into the match day squad, of better quality than what we have.

One more up top end with a bit of gas and I'm reasonably optimistic of a good top half finish - if we lose no more of our starting 11.

Been a better summer so far than I was dreading to be fair.

Looking at his stats for last season:

At Blackburn he often started (10) but was subbed after 20 minutes of the second half in every game bar one.

At Bristol he tended to be a substitute (13) coming on with half an hour or less of the match to go. Only started twice for Bristol - 58 mins in last game was longest he stayed on.

Used as a winger most of the time by Blackburn but mostly as an attacking midfielder by Bristol according to stats.

Versatile but appeared to be taken off for a fresh pair of legs at Blackburn whilst used as an impact
Sub at Bristol. Raises question marks against his general fitness something commented on at Bristol.

Apparently likes to dribble but could be a make or break season for him based on last year’s stats:

Last season 3 goals 1 assist and 6 yellows in championship from 12 starts and 17 sub appearances.

Versatile. Can play right across the midfield including wide areas, and has filled in at full back.

I'd agree it's not the most exciting signing, but it's a very sensible one. Willmot similarly covers two positions. It's very sensible, astute work from us again this summer.

I'm suprised we haven't gone in for Woodburn, Cooper & Marsh know him well, and he'll want to make up for his Sheffield United loan last season.

Which 3 would you want to drop out of the starting 11 to incorporate that quality, if you could choose the positions to sign?
