Think he picked that up in the first half from their full back , which was just as bad a challenge if not worse than Bidwells red..........perhaps that's why he's posted it

it looked worse than Bidwells to me.

Very inconsistent refereeing.

Good news is that omission will be taken into account and Bidwell will get a reprieve.

Both feet off the floor, took Celina clean out - a red all day long. We would have mullered them if he’d been sent off as it was quite early in the game.

The only reason Bidwell got red was that his trip stopped their winger having a free run . It was the angst and outrage from their bench that got him sent off. Ref was a c*nt all game.

Edit - for the terminally dim OP - Celina isn’t trying to demonstrate it’s a bad injury, only that their players’ studs made contact with his leg. Therefore a red card.

If the ref is sending off Bidwell then the challenge on Celina was definitely a red.

Neither should have been but still. Inconsistent.

Bidwell did the right thing Grimes should have done the same against Forest he said so himself.

But yes don't think we can have to many complaints over the red was a dangerous situation.

If we do appeal and lose it he will miss an extra game.

Take the punishment and move on.

It was a trip , only a trip (even though it was cynical) and on the halfway line. That can't surely count as a goal scoring opportunity??

It wouldn't be the first time but I think the only reason the BC fullback didn't get a red was because it was so early in the game, which shouldn't make any difference whatsoever, a dangerous tackle is a dangerous tackle irrespective of where it happens on the pitch or when it happens during the game.

We were well on top for the first 15 minutes yesterday as the ball barely came into our half and a red card at that stage would have really put them on the wrack.

If the guy had been sent off for the challenge on Celina then the game would have taken a completely different form and doubt that Bidwell would have been making that challenge on 90 minutes.

On that point, you have to give Johnson credit. We were definitely getting a grip and he brought on that big bastard up front for a defender and it altered the flow of the game. They never got on top of us, but that change upset our rhythm and stopped us getting fully on the front foot.

Johnson should also have been booked.
Weak refereeing throughout the game.

Quite right. Yet look at the Neil Taylor sending off against Forest in the first play off game.

Yeah, but some refs have more bottle than others. I remember seeing John "Yogi Bear" Hughes getting sent off after a couple of minutes at Brentford in the 80s and of course CBR at Millwall last season but there are many more refs who bottle decisions like that.
