Think the Worms head venture didn’t really get going for him But yeah Drangway fantastic. Colin did our wedding meal for us in the basement room. Sewin or steak as I recall, can still remember the blissful look on his beaming face as he described in detail how wonderful each would be :)

Their beef stroganoff was my favourite thing when I was a kid and we went there as a (very) special treat every so often as they were family friends. | | | | Login to get fewer ads

A few times I have been told someone is dead, then seen them walking down the street a while later. Which is good of course.

I was going to post that Ray is still alive and well (he's 3 years younger than me), and that his dad Ray senior died late 2009. To complicate it even more, Ray (John) Tilley Jnr's son Ray (James) Tilley runs Tilleys the pawn brokers.

They originally were in the Apollo club in Porthcawl and also had the Apollo restaurant in St Helens road. If my memory serves me right Pietro opened the pizza house, Guido Franco and Alvaro opened La Boussola and Steffano and Evo opened the Apollo in Craddock street.

That’s a fantastic bit of info, thanks. I know The Burlington was made up of three restaurants, The Tavern, the café and The Regency Rooms (upstairs of what is now Halifax BS).
