| Bulgaria v Wales : Matchday Thread 13:05 - Oct 12 with 6228 views | NotLoyal | BULGARIA v WALES Wednesday 14 October 2020 7.45pm mick off Natsionalen Stadion Vasil Levski, Sofia TV LISTING : ITV, S4C, Sky Sports, Sky Go. Wales will need to win this away fixture to remain top of their group in the nations league. Bulgaria have been better and their days of being feared as a football force are in the past, for now. Bulgaria are set to host Wales at the Vasil Levski National Stadium on Wednesday in their next UEFA Nations League game. Bulgaria come into this game on the back of 2-0 loss to Finland on Sunday at the Helsinki Olympic Stadium. Goals from Brann midfielder Robert Taylor and Augsburg midfielder Fredrik Jensen secured the win for their country. Wales, on the other hand, drew 0-0 against the Republic of Ireland on Sunday. Despite Stoke City idiot James McClean getting sent off for the Republic of Ireland, Wales failed to capitalise, mustering only two shots on target and settling for a goalless draw. Bulgaria vs Wales Head-to-Head In nine previous encounters between the two sides, the record is exactly even. Bulgaria have won four games, lost four and drawn one. The most recent match between the two countries took place last month, with Wales beating Bulgaria 1-0. Liverpool's young right-back Neco Williams scored a late second-half goal to ensure victory for Ryan Giggs' side. Bulgaria vs Wales Team News Bulgaria have a few injury concerns. Levski Sofia goalkeeper Nikolay Mihaylov, Arsenal Tula midfielder Georgi Kostadinov, Arda Kardzhali forward Spas Delav and CSKA 1948 Sofia winger Galin Ivanov are all out due to various injuries. Injured: Nikolay Mihaylov, Georgi Kostadinov, Spas Delav, Galin Ivanov Doubtful: None Suspended: Cardiff bloke, Joe Morrel Meanwhile, Wales will be without new Tottenham Hotspur signing and star player Gareth Bale, who is injured. Luton Town defender Rhys Norrington-Davis and Lincoln City midfielder Brennan Johnson could make their debuts. Injured: Gareth Bale, David Brookes Doubtful: None Suspended: None So, what do we know about Bulgaria ? The only European country that kept its name since it was founded. Bulgaria pre-dates the Roman Empire making it one of the first countries to be established in Europe. The official language of the Bulgarian people of all ethnicities is Bulgarian and all ethnic groups speak it, either as a first or second language. It is the oldest written Slavic language and is written in the Cyrillic alphabet. We do actually know loads here at Swansea Independent. So have a bit more. Bulgaria is a poor country but also a rich country, it depends on which side of the street you were born on. They also play a musical instrument made out of cheese, no textiles are used in the making of the Bulgarian hooferpipe. This is a rich Bulgarian man at the football. It shouldn't go unnoticed that most Bulgarians are very proud of their country and enjoy living there, they also have seaside resorts like Sunny Beach. Here if you eat anything there at all you will find half the contents stuck to your lower pant area or all over your head after a magnificent projectile vomit. The resort of Sunny Beach yesterday Team news to follow, suffice to say we are weakened considerably, most now would accept a point for sure. [Post edited 14 Oct 2020 20:25]

Nah, head n shoulders above Grimes, mwsh. Seriously, not a terrible player by any stretch of anybody's imagination with some semblance of football knowledge. Coulda slotted in well with us, with the right coaching. His nickname actually says it all, almost.

No chance. He did well tonight but always flatters to deceive. Lots of industry but no product, that’s why he can’t get in to an average League One side, credit where it’s due though.

He has improved recently. In his earlier games with the big stars in attendance he had me pulling my hair out, as he was simply winning free kicks and running down blind alleyways. Perhaps Giggs has improved him. The Williams Neco Jonny combo has generated six points and two wins over Bulgaria. I thought Matondo was a mini reveleation. With a bit of composure he could have had a hattrick. Rodon immense.

Took his goal really well, it was a superb finish and you could see from his grin just how much it meant to him. As has been said, he’s contributed towards 6 points in the last 3 games. Well done son. | | | | Login to get fewer ads

Not the best player by a long way. But gives 100% every time.

You are slowly showing your true colours fella, fair play Your Grimes thread excepted, you are clearly lacking in footballing insight, but admire your ongoing pretence and effrontery No doubt puts you in good stead in this new tough world for retailers where exceptional levels of insight make the difference between success and continuing to rely on hand outs from the government

Not sure what you’re on about tbh but it seems like you take everything I say personally. Showing my true colours? You’re taking things way too seriously.

Disappointed the Republic was unable to do us a favour and take any points off Finland, it's between Wales and Finland now to see who wins the group, the next round of matches will decide if we win the group, need a draw in the last match to win the group or if we have to beat Finland at home to win the group.

Personally ? That makes no sense, tbh, does it. You seem happier criticising, be that our Club or ardent fans. That makes no sense, tbh, does it. All I take too seriously is folk that continuously undermine our Club, is all. Just saying.

I’m undermining our club because I’m not a fan of Jonny Williams? Righto. Not sure why you keep replying to my posts I the manner you do, but if it makes you feel better........ not sure what it’s got to do with retail either, but it’s okay, don’t bother explaining.

The timing was excellent and had to be such was the pace on the cross. As for Williams he’s good enough to make a contribution at our Club. He’s our kind of footballer. Intelligent ( football brain ), uses the ball well and keeps things ticking over, moving the ball cleverly. He’s on the fringes with the Wales squad when everyone is fit but there’s no doubting his ability.

He has improved markedly in the last 6 Wales appearances. I've changed my opionon on him which goes against all forum protocols. You could say it is because of lower class opposition but I though he did well v England. Has Giggs got in his ear and improved him?

| Bulgaria v Wales : Matchday Thread on 16:52 - Oct 15 with 932 views | Chief | I've always thought William's is an excellent player. But...... He has had rotten injuries his whole career sadly. Wonder where he would be playing had he not had these issues. | |
