I approached Dickie Bird once at Colwyn Bay during his last season and asked for a photo with my lad, who was about 10 yrs old. This was at the tea interval when he was milling around the pavilion.In no way did we intrude really. He ignored me ,then I spoke louder,then he grunted something. I then had a few words with him and he was ok .
I think "famous" people believe they are above basic manners.They are not. Often ,young kids asking for autographs are told to fook off -alike Geoff Boycott. Sometimes,it blows up in their faces.

There is no issue here unless Gigggs is convicted,. If he is convicted he goes. If not he stays. The Bulgaia game was one of his best performances. I'd never bother anyone in the true sense of the word.However many celebs need the public to like them and make them the "name " they are so with that comes the consequential reduction of "privacy " in a public place.
At one time in my life,the company I worked for bought paper goods from Francis Lee's company whose sales manager was Deni Law ,who I met many times including having lunch .
