Favourite guitar solos on 14:25 - Dec 3 by theloneranger
I hitch-hiked to London in the summer of 1970 to see the premier of Woodstock in the cinema.
Once seen and heard, never forgotten!!
A landmark in the history of music, not just rock music.
Extraordinary, without a doubt.
Probably watch it about once a year.
But, as with a lot of Hendrix, it can sometimes set my teeth on edge. Got to be in the mood for it.
Your average punter, I've no doubt, would find it utterly intolerable - those wailing bomb sounds, screaming babies, machine gun fire, mangled metal etc. are too much for most peoples ears.
