QPR v Swansea City
Saturday 26th December 2020
Loftus Road
Kick Off 3pm

Match Officials
To be confirmed

Recent history
The first game between the two sides was in 1914. It was in the FA Cup.
31 Jan 1914 Swansea Town 1 Queens Park Rangers 2
This was before the first world war and the invention of the iphone 6.
In fact even the iphone 4s.

29 Sep 2018 Swansea City v Queens Park Rangers 3-0 League Championship
13 Apr 2019 Queens Park Rangers v Swansea City 4-0 League Championship
21 Aug 2019 Queens Park Rangers v Swansea City 1-3 League Championship
05 Jan 2020 Queens Park Rangers v Swansea City 5-1 FA Cup
11 Feb 2020 Swansea City v Queens Park Rangers 0-0 League Championship

The last game between the sides was a 0-0 draw. QPR had already knocked the swans out of the FA Cup after the swans had won at Loftus Road a few months before. The last time before 2018 the sides met was in the Premier League in 2015. The game ended 1-1, earlier on that season the swans had won 2-0 at the Liberty.

Everyone's favourite Swansea City player of a certain age will say Robbie James was a class act. He also played for QPR and went to Wembley with them. Above is when Robbie was a panini sticker. The oddest thing about Robbie was he only gained five Welsh caps.

Remarkably Jeremy Charles was also a Panini sticker, he also played for QPR and went to Wembley with Oxford United.

What do we know about Queens Park Rangers ?
not a lot, and that IS the link really, if you add up the year QPR were formed which is 1882. So, 1+8+8+2 it equals 19. And that's no surprise as 19 is the average IQ of the smallest team in London. They have ( not unlike Cardiff) small team syndrome where they try and persuade everyone they are a big club, but fail time and time again to prove it. Their fans are all employed by McCains chips. However, because they are so thick none of them are employed by McCains chips. The idea is they can get access to the biggest chips for their shoulders.

McCains Chips, every QPR supporters dream job.

Apparently Christmas is a time for goodwill to all folk, well, not for QPR , when Jesus and Moses got all pissed up once they wanted goodwill to all men by all accounts, that is except QPR, in the bible Jesus makes this more than clear, QPR he once said, are shite.

QPR are the worst team in London except Brentford who are not as bad as Chelsea or Tranmere, the last town isn't in London but if it was it would be. Tranmere are as good as Arsenal on a good day. QPR are not, their fans are also very sneaky, and five of them are called Pete, their favourite hobby is hiding behind the police outside a pub so they can safely shout abuse at visiting fans. They did this last season and all went back in to the pub very quickly. They are the new Crystal Palace in that respect.

Great QPR players

Talk Sport sexist Rodney Marsh also played for QPR

Stan Bowles apparently was good if you are over 60 and bored, but he was good, better than you anyway.

This is Tony Currie, another old man who played for QPR, Tony's dad invented the balti and vindaloo varieties of curry. Tony doesn't like curry but loves a scotch egg. He was a great player, but not at QPR, well, a little bit but he was great at Leeds and Sheffield United, both of which are quite close to west London, give or take.

That goal was all about Grimes and as a centre forward he would be very disappointed if he missed that goad take and good finish but that's what I expect, its when he misses a lot more than he scores that's the problem chief

Pain or damage don't end the world. Or despair, or f*cking beatings. The world ends when you're dead. Until then, you got more punishment in store. Stand it like a man... and give some back.

Subs ?

If anything, keep shape and go like for like for fresh legs to stretch them:

- Garrick or Routs for Lowe (who must be knackered!)

Is Cooper morphing us into Spurs ?

Highly efficient and effective display yet again fair play.

Not quite at our best, but excellent in defence and a really good breakaway goal - so highly satisfactory overall.

It's not pretty, and I hate the way we just thump it upfield or into touch.
But another 3 points is the important thing.

Swansea Indepenent Poster Of The Year 2021. Dr P / Mart66 / Roathie / Parlay / E20/ Duffle was 2nd, but he is deluded and thinks in his little twisted brain that he won. Poor sod. We let him win this year, as he has cried for a whole year. His 14 usernames, bless his cotton socks.

It’s how we set up to play in these fixtures.

Mix that up with how we played against Crapdiff, Brentford etc and we are a compelling watch from game to game.

Not sure what if the manager intends it this way mind but it’s working

Would that be a bad thing, does the end justify the means?

Excellent away win and three points again with yet another clean sheet

Awesome stuff fair play without being at their best and that’s a good sign

Only 12 goals conceded all season too...not bad with a “coward” in goal 😂

Only an idiot would eat a turkey curry on Christmas day

If you mean by getting the best out of the team, being hard working and organised with a resilience determination and team spirit to fight for everything with two fingers up to the rest then yes you might be right.

Woodman controlled his area very well today. His positioning and distribution were very good. He had no shots to save but he looked in control in what he had to do. I don’t know who people would like to use to replace him? Buggered if I can see anybody from our present playing roster who could do a better job. Mistakes are being made all over the pitch, but when he makes a mistake he’s crucified for it. Let’s just get behind him?
I’m not having a go at you - we’re on the same side.

It amazes me just how much joy some people get from slagging off our own players. Even players who score a brace against Cardiff and winning is the Derby! I expect Angry Jack will still be at it even if Lowe repeats and we win the double!

Warnock's teams only score from corners or throw ins. Most of ours come from open play.

25 out of 69 from set plays their promotion season (incl. 4 penalties). It wasn't all the stereotype. Wolves scored as many as they did from corners and throw-ins.

Direct, low possession, defensively solid. Plenty of similarities.

Not really. Under Warnock they'd literally lump it towards the box and hope for a flick on or lucky bounce. To some success i might add. But we're no where near that.

Another massive result today, Lowe again was relentless in his running, took his goal so well.
Never looked like it for the first thirty minutes, but all’s well ends well.

A great believer in taking anything you like to wherever you want to.
