So let's copy and paste stories of sexual abuse then shall we?

I'm sure the CofE have a fair few skeletons in the closest I could google up if I had the inclination.

Best not to though yes.

This person has "previous" for his outspoken views, each to their own.

But, you overstep the line, expect to be called out, and I will.

Ah the old chestnut about copy and paste, not a fan of facts are you?

You've been doing research then have you? Or are you not actually that new? Been here before have you?

OHL does have previous but the site owner won't let him overstep and will take action if he does. We all know the rules and posting a factual story isn't against them as far as I know. Keith has banned people for deliberate and susatined rule breaking.

I have Irish family, practising Roman Catholics they are too. They know my views about religion and we agree to disagree, it's a stance that could come in fairly handy on here.

Just my opinion, but WTF do I know anyway?

Have I been doing research? Yes.

Over the past two weeks I've been picking up on this persons obvious dislike for anything Irish, it's not been a good read.

Its fair to say, if he had shown the same sort of "dislike" to any other group of nationals, he would have been swiftly brought to task, yes?

Factual story's yes, blatant racist pigeon holeing of any kind, absolutely not.

Not in this day and age, mate.

To say OHL isn't to everyone's taste would be obvious. If you don't like what he posts report it and Keith/Admin will judge it.

He's not the only one who posts opinions about other groups of nationals, there's a few on here who seem to harbour an obvious dislike for the English. It wouldn't be racism though, it'd be xenophobia.

Driven under bridge twice. Clashes with the mosaic-style facade of the new apartments and looks out of place, as if lifted from deepest darkest Dubai.
It just seems too... exotic. However when the works are all done maybe I'll warm to it. Maybe an azure sky will compliment it more, but the chances are slim!

Perhaps "OHL" needs to realise some of his "opinions" could go far beyond being judged by the admin of this site?

Everyone needs to "think first" before posting about delicate issues on social media, don't you agree?

I believe in free speech. I can disagree with what OHL says but unless he, or anyone else breaks any laws there isn't an issue beyond this site. Even if no laws are broken, if Keith thinks a post needs removing or someone deserves a break from here, he'll take care of it.

Everyone should think a bit more before posting things online. Perception of a post can be a lot different to the intention of what any of us post.

I went for a run yesterday and changed my route to run under it.

I was quite impressed, it looks better in the flesh and is certainly different.

Having said that, there's been so little regeneration in Swansea recently anything would have been appreciated. Let's hope it continues.

I can't believe a thread about a footbridge has extended to four pages. It shows how little investment we've had.

My fav part of Swansea was that.
The Baths where I learned to swim with Glenda Philips
Walks in the park with grandad
Grandad in the Guildhall on council business
and Joes afterwards
and St Helens for rugby and cricket

Happy days

Ahh Swansea baths by the slip, used to love it there and victoria park. In the swimming baths was there a machine on the way in that offered refreshments? or maybe i'm getting confused with the Leisure centre, I know they had one.

Absolutely agree, free speech is everyone's right.

But sometimes, especially on social media things can get heated.

Some will tap out on their laptop/mobile things they would never say face to face, but, everyone, in this modern world we have evolved into, must realise, that saying for instance, a certain race/nationality are all a bunch of murdering, child abusing, terrorist scum, will, in the end, result in said individuals being "called out".

Can you not see where I'm going here?

Everyone can say what they want on social media absolutely, but also you must realise that whatever you post, good or bad, you are leaving yourself open to scrutiny, either by group owner or admin, or even further afield if you go too far, get it 👍

Of course regarding scrutiny.

Are you really from Georgia? Your posting style seems quite familiar, also the use of the username Marcella for an American poster seems rather odd.

Yes, and there are others on here who berate all things English. There are things that cannot be denied, the IRA, UDF etc, RC crimes, English crimes during Empire, stating facts isn't wrong but people do tend to generalise. When they do, other people on here usually correct them. There's several who like nothing better than to "call out" OHL for example, you'll see it soon enough I'm sure.

Just my opinion, but WTF do I know anyway?

Im offended too. It works both ways.

Marcella need to understand matters .

First OHL attack religion, for a start, not people who practise a faith -any faith.

Econd,OHL has pointed out historical facts regarding the Catholic Church in Ireland and other countries come to that.

It proves my point.

Religion kills in every way.

Finally,OHL isnt bothered about upsetting offending anyone a looking at world right now, people can be offended at anyone and anything.

That Marcella prog was about an Irish gangster family post Troubles and far fetched it was too. Absolute garbage.

Odd that, Marcella being more of an Italian name and being the feminine. It's not a very common Georgian name either.

That's diversity for you I guess.

Morning Cat.
Another week. I feel in good form but had to ignore marco. Ive also done the same with tramp and killy. It's not easy being a truth seeker, trust me.

On all this because of a bridge in Swansea. Diverse indeed. People are being offended as we type this drivel

This week, maybe, anti Police, anti Vax, anti White, anti Men, anti Boris and of course anti stop search.

It is relentless and a very slippery slope.

Frankly,I repeat,I don't really know why Police officers bother. They get no back up from public ,Bosses,or Parliament. A thankless, dirty job that most would never do .

I’ve driven under it twice today and it’s great.

Anyway, This bridge

I drove under it last Thursday, both ways and its hideous, way oversized and out of context with everything else, in my opinion, if it was out on its own somewhere with not much else around it then it would probably look fine, but not where it is now.
Hopefully it will blend in and look better when the work in the around it is finished, who knows.

Im glad I didn't comment as such.
What is aesthetic is always subjective ,as it art and architecture.

Saw a film recently -The Accountant- which feature a Jackson Pollock picture .To me groteque but I'm a philistine and know nothing about art. Innit.
