 Thomas Henry and Swansea City back in talks 24th Jun 2021 12:02As we reported two weeks ago it seems Thomas Henry is on the verge of leaving OH Leuven. The Belgian side have excluded him from their recent friendlies, and the manager has stated he believes he will leave this summer. He's not really a development player, 26 and coming off two strong seasons in the Belgian top division with a midtable side. Although big target men tend to peak later than pacey strikers, so maybe he's got another level or two in his locker.
It's a huge amount of money given our income is going to be a little over £20m next season before player sales, and our wage bill will certainly top that even without new signings. Have to be confident he can deliver in a new country. | | | |

Well we were already spending it on the promotion push, weren't we. Hourihane in, Ayew's insane wages. We brought in 16 players last season.
Those costs are gone, players will be sold, proceeds/savings reinvested in players and staff. And risks taken for sure. "Ambition" shown, innit. | | | |
