| Wimbledon on 20:02 - Jun 30 by onehunglow | My old fella always said Wales woes was because they turned their back on the Cross. When I used to go back ,the Church/Chapel influence was clearly waning and about time too. They even closed the Welsh chapel in Birkenhead. |
. Mine was demolished for flats recently. I don't miss it. Although a fluent welsh speaker, I hardly understood a word of the text. Wrong, why are you commenting on something you obviously havent got a clue about. Judy Murray has coached in Swansea and Andy Murray has also played and won as a junior here in Langland.

Good to see him winning again.
| Swansea Indepenent Poster Of The Year 2021. Dr P / Mart66 / Roathie / Parlay / E20/ Duffle was 2nd, but he is deluded and thinks in his little twisted brain that he won. Poor sod. We let him win this year, as he has cried for a whole year. His 14 usernames, bless his cotton socks.

Jesus wept. That’s common knowledge but what has it got to do with the coaching at Swansea tennis centre not being the same standard as the coaching on £30k pa tennis academies? I’m pretty sure Andy Murray played and won all over the country in his youth.

The LTA set up starts in Swansea where there are good coaches, Murray only went to Barcelona when he was 15. In Spain and USA there are accademies where athletes can go to study and train. We have some schools in the UK like Millfield, none in Wales to our shame. You are correct Murray did play and lose all over the country in his youth, which is the only thing you have right.

So back to the point you were replying to, can a 15 year old get the same quality of training that Andy Murrays family paid £30,000 a year for, 20 years ago, in Swansea? Or do you think it’s feasible for a normal family round here to shell that kind of amount out? I’m not trying to imply they were aristocrats, I’m pretty sure they had to borrow some of it, but £30,000 a year for 3 years, is beyond the reach of most families. It’s not an attack on tennis in Swansea, I’ve no doubt there are excellent coaches here. It’s simply an illustration that in some sports, tennis being one, money gives you a huge advantage.

He’s hardly up and coming. He’s 12th in the world, been around for years despite his age. He was beating the likes of Rafa 4 or 5 years ago. Has been in the final of the Paris Masters and 3 Masters semi finals. Been in the top 20 for the last 4 years. There was no way Murray was beating him.

| Wimbledon on 22:32 - Jul 2 with 508 views | Dr_Winston | Andy Murray is a great Tennis player. It's sheer misfortune that he was in his prime at the exact same time as the three best players in the history of the sport. Had he been around at any other time he'd be retiring with a lot more slams under his belt. | |
| Pain or damage don't end the world. Or despair, or f*cking beatings. The world ends when you're dead. Until then, you got more punishment in store. Stand it like a man... and give some back. |

One of the greatest of all time without question. Although there is an argument that all 4 pushed each other to be as great as they are/were (plus fleeting cameos from Soderling and Del Porto) due to coming out in the same era and wouldn’t be what they were without each other. Something I certainly see merit in.

| Wimbledon on 00:35 - Jul 3 with 477 views | jack_lord | Murray has played very little tennis recently and it is not a surprise that he did lose to the number ten seed but in a years time when he has knocked a lot more balls around and he is properly back in the groove then it will be a lot closer. | |

| Wimbledon on 15:51 - Jul 3 with 395 views | trampie | Bates, Henman, Croft, Durie etc all nice players but somewhat lightweight shots compared to the very top, this girl Emma Raducanu seems to have some weight to her shots, backhand and serve at this stage, considering her young age signs are good, she has hardly played competitively because of the covid pandemic, she seems to have the temperament and potential all round game.
