| Covid in Israel on 10:46 - Sep 4 by A_Fans_Dad | You have a really bad problem with equating news outlets with original sources. How many other "news outlets" would you like me to list with the same video and commentary? Yes I have a memory problem due to reading so much "stuff", the Israelis were asked to use it by scientists and doctors who had conducted and reviewed studies. But their government are as stupid as ours and are not "listening to the science" which says that you can't Vaccinate your way out of a current pandemic with leaky vaccines. This is not new and was predicted by Scientists and Doctors who know what they are talking about before the vaccine programme started, they looked at what the vaccines do and identified they are not "sterilizing vaccines". Even our own Sir Patrick Vallance says so. We will soon see if Japan use it as recommended by their top Medical man won't we. Except of course the BBC won't bother to tell you, you will have to find it on some right wing way out source. |
That a long post to admit your post about Israel or Japan authorising the use of ivermectin was completely wrong.

That is always the case with all vaccines and treatments. It's why people die in many cases. It's also why vaccination needs to be as widespread as possible.

Well, unlike you I have no problem admitting to being wrong, I am quite a bit in life. Yes I got it wrong. It changes nothing about the use of Vaccines that don't do what needs to be done. You carry on believing that you can vaccinate your way out of a current pandemic. Vaccinations for everybody every 6 months will not stop it spreading. So Vaccinate everybody every 6 months until everybody has has had and recovered from this variant and hope another one doesn't come along that starts it all over again. Israel have already had triple vaccinated get the Delta variant.

We have vaccinated our way out of this pandemic killing people. Restrictions have ended. There is no alternative yet. Until there is covid and vaccines are here to stay. You will get covid, so give yourself an excellent chance of not getting ill. Get vaccinated.

Stop lying to yourself and everybody else on here. Even you must know the difference between reduced and stopped. It is likely to continue at that reduced level until all the vaccinated have had COVID and actual herd immunity is reached. Yes restrictions have ended for now.

| Covid in Israel on 10:24 - Sep 3 by whiterock | Great topic, I have had two jabs and will have my booster, when called, many say it don't work but death rates are down and hospitalisation is down, although that is starting to creep up. The figures of 38,000 cases a day are false, my son had symptoms, wasn't going to get tested until I made him as it affected me (living in the same household), we both got tested, he was positive, I was negative, the family isolated for 10 days, my point is, how many are out there that feel unwell but just stay home until they feel better? The vaccine alone will not cure this pandemic, we all have to do our bit, to eradicate it completely may be impossible but if we all follow the guidelines we have a chance, I also think that the kids are the super spreaders, why are they not getting a jab? I still wear my mask in a pub or restaurant, get some stupid looks, I'll live (that's the plan) |
You wearing you mask in the pub is for you to feel safer, but masks are to help others, not yourself though. It' never been suggested anywhere that wearing a mask lowers the chance of you getting the virus. It's always been said that it's for others' benefit. So if no-one else are wearing their masks in the pub, you are still at risk from them all. Only thing you are doing is looking out for them, if you have the virus.

You're not going to get ill if you catch it, so why do you even care if I've had it or not? Is' it up to me if I'd rather the the risk of not getting jabbed and getting worse symptoms? The difference between the vaccinated and the so called anti-vaxxers seems to be that if you choose not to have the vaccine, most still are happy for others to have it i they choose to. But it's not the same the other way round. The vaccinated people seem to think they can tell others what they should do. And if they don't, they get vilified.

Not really, if the 10% who haven't been vaccinated is 390 (as already stated) then it's roughly 4 times as many unvaccinated getting the virus and getting seriously ill. Then take into account the unvaccinated are generally younger people, the vaccinated being older and more likely to have pre existing conditions and it makes the odds better again.

And the more patients who are hospitalised with Covid equates to less beds being available, less opportunities to treat patients with other illnesses etc as evidenced by the below. Hospitals are struggling to move patients on to care homes or to their own homes as care providers are struggling to deliver services. https://www.itv.com/news/wales

If you had the AZ jab there is still an 8 in 100 chance of you being seriously ill. For Pfizer it's 6 in 100 I think. People who are not vaccinated also pass on a bigger viral load meaning those they pass it to are more likely to be more seriously ill. If you are happy to take your chances without the vaccine then fine, its your life. Why though should the majority of us have to curtail our activities because of the minority? Bear in mind the delta variant is affecting younger people more seriously too, https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk- [Post edited 5 Sep 2021 20:23]

| Covid in Israel on 21:31 - Sep 5 with 717 views | Ajack_Kerouac | I got vaccinated and I got vaccinated early (I need to state this at the outset because my opinion, which I am about to share, will result in people who argue in bad faith to accuse me of being an "anti-vaxxer" otherwise)... The old and the vulnerable should have received the vaccine. The rest of us should have cracked on, caught the virus and developed antibodies naturally (which are I believe 20 times more effective than the vaccines). We then would have been able to use all of that vaccine to vaccinate the old and the vulnerable in the rest of the world...and there should have been no economic shut down. I think future generations will look back on these times in stunned disbelief at our stupidity. Having lived through the previous 20 years the stupidity of those at the top of our societies does not surprise me one little bit. | |

Of course. In case I need remind you the latest government data on the Delta variant shows. Unvaccinated cases 183,133 Vaccinated cases 163,329 Take away all the unvaccinated cases and you still have 163,329 vaccinated people who got the virus. 6 of my extended family currently have COVID, all but one are double vaccinated and the one is 17. The manager of Killay library has COVID, double vaccinated. Do you really think the pandemic is going to stop if everybody was vaccinated?

Need I remind you that 88.8% of the population aged over 16 have now been vaccinated. So 20,000 more cases are now seen in the remaining 11.2% of the population aged 16 or over. Before children go back to school. That shows how effective these vaccines are. I know plenty of people who have been vaccinated, who have nursed their children through children through mild covid illness and not been infected. The vaccines are safe and work.

| Covid in Israel on 14:22 - Sep 3 by Scotia | No it's not. R0 of flu is about 1.3. R0 of the original strain of covid is about 2.6, the R0 of the delta variant is something like 6.3. Without vaccination it is 1000 times more deadly than flu, the vaccine brings that down, but it's irrelevent because of the R0 being so much higher. It's nothing like flu. I wish it was. |
What a load of garbage Before the vax it was a fact that most people had a 99.7 chance survival of C19. All of a sudden we now have a vax and guess what those who have the the experimental clot shot have a 99.7 chance of survival. You couldn't make this up. So many people falling for it

Remember it was the envy of the world at one point but the pro vax brainwashed on here will not be too impressed with the data coming out of Israel now. It's logging the highest infection rate in the world with 650 new daily cases which includes 60% gravely ill patients having been fully vax. David O'Connor a viral sequencing expert says Israel represents the best data coming out anywhere in the world and doesn't believe Boosters are the solution. As time goes by there is more and more compelling evidence that those who got vax may have been better off eating ice cream.

But why would "the majority" of you need to curtail your activities, if you're vaccinated? How does me not having the jab affect your activities? I don't think it's 100% fact that the unvaxxed pass on more viral load either, is it?

ANd tis is the whole point. No-one still knows what's going on. They aren't sure that the vaccines work properly. They aren't sure if people will need constant boosters, and they aren't sure what will happen to vaxxed people in future. Yet people want to tell other people, who don't even NEED he vaccine, as they are at very little risk of severe harm from the virus, to have a vaccine that no-one is sure about. And now it's kids!! Would you risk your kid getting ill or getting that heart problem thing, simply to help their gran or grandad get an extra couple of years of life? Kids do not need the vaccine. It's unfair to put them at risk. What's next, babies? If you want the vaccine, then fine, but don't put pressure on children by telling them that if they don't have it, they are selfish or that they could kill their gran.

That's not true though. We are sure the vaccines work and the most vulnerable (at least) will need regular boosters. Every adult in the world needs the vaccine. The JCVI has not reccomnended that kids get vaccinated - but did identify a marginal benefit to them being vaccinated, they looked purely at the health of kids and not the wider benefits of being able to stay in education and reduced transmission etc. The thing is an unvaccinated child could kill their gran or their parent. Covid will be around in a few years when my eldest is 12 and may be eligible for a vaccine. She'll be having it.

We are not sure though. There are still debates going on everywhere. An unvaccinated child has more chance of killing his gran, than a vaccinated child? It said on Sky news that the JCVI does not recommend kids get the vaccine. Why is that, if it's totally safe? I would never put my child at risk simply to save myself.

There will always be debate, the vast majority of those that state the vaccines don't work or aren't safe are fuelled by mis and disinformation. It is crystal clear that they work and are safe. Yes an unvaccinated child is more likely to kill gran than a vaccinated child. JCVI haven't reccommended it - they look purely at the health benefits to that child. They did say that the benefit outweighed the risk. When missed education and onward transmission are considered too I would expect the government to give the go ahead. I wouldn't put my child at risk for anything at all and I wish the vaccines weren't needed, my child has received all her vaccinations so far, and this will be another if /when the time comes.
