They've gone kinda quiet over our previous financial difficulties ever since they hit the wall in 2006, and had the taxman trying to shut them down numerous times a couple of years later.
The total amounts they've tried to dodge their way out of paying in the last 10-15 years dwarfs what we struggled with by a magnitude of ten. They must be absolutely sh*tting themselves internally over the Nantes case. |

I love the fact they are clinging onto this legal court case as if it makes some sort of difference to the CAS appeal.
They haven't got a clue. They hang on the word of a poster over there called Paul Keevil who has a very loose grasp of the laws, think he worked in some sort of law profession before but he's constantly getting things wrong and references the wrong laws.
He argues that because McKay arranged the flight then Nantes are liable via 'vicarious liability' because McKay was the selling agent, working for Nantes by proxy and thus Nantes being responsible.
1) No he wasn't, his son was the selling agent
2) The agents are contracted for the term of the sale, not as permanent employees
3) As soon as the transfer was completed, McKay and Nantes were no longer contracted
They don't have a leg to stand on.
What they can do is pay Nantes and go after this bloke if found guilty to sue him for damages, but I highly doubt a normal bloke has 15m lying around.
Its a contractual issue with Nantes and the FAW have confirmed the transfer was complete.
