So what happened to this is a season of transition, we will take relegation to reset, we will need 4 transfer windows.....
Usual suspects posting hyperbole.....those who have been accused of criticism of the mighty Martin always believed we should be competing for a play off spot given the "strengthening" of the squad which lost the play off final....yet at the beginning of the season was failing to deliver results through the managers obsession with possession.
It appears the manager has learnt and is looking to play a more mixed up game which is looking as if it will deliver results.....still early days and still to soon to discuss play offs...but most of the reversing seems to be coming from those who talked of transition and time! |
Not sure where I stand.
Enjoyed the first half yesterday BUT we should have destroyed them utterly. We have the fire power.Not good to see Pato showboating .Om assuming Russy has had a go at him for it. He should do.
I think we really could get to play offs. Stoke 3 0 up and Farke it up against Cardiff. Really ,come in. Little to fear in this division.
Fulham need to look after Mitirvic for sure .
Bournemouth ffs have big money behind them, Bournemouth.

Not sure where I stand.

I have no problem with Martin, I wasnt happy with his football at the start of the season...he seems to be adapting and moving from his only Plan A stance

I think we'd have a much better chance in the next two games if they were both Saturday fixtures with midweek off. Our fitness is not at 100% yet, and we don't have the strength in depth to rotate the squad. Ntcham is vital to us, but can he play 3x90 mins in a week?
I think we're a better side than Coventry despite their good start to the season, but I'd definitely take a draw from this one. |  | | |

This is why I'm saying it's still transition, we are still building. Saying we are making the play offs at least is premature. There is still room for improvement and the squad is a bit thin in defence and up front, we have numbers up front but maybe not the quality after Piroe and Obafemi .In defence, if we lost 2 CB's or Bidwell, who comes in? On the bench Saturday only Downes, Cabango and Obafemi are good enough to be starters. A lot of people criticise Cullen, Benda and Latibeaudierre with Whittaker being somewhere in between. That's not strength in depth. Then of course we have to manage some players because of injury concerns.
Maybe that'll change after the next window. if we are doing well enough maybe Martin will be allowed to bring some faces in that see us strong enough for a genuine challenge. | |

I think that there will be a mini clear out in January,Fulton and Dhanda for a start. This will free up funds for strengthening. |  | | |
