Wales v Belgium: WCQ Matchday Thread 16:49 - Nov 14 with 5323 viewsNotLoyal

It’s the final group game of the group and this game is probably just another meaningless game that means a win or draw means nothing.

It all comes down to Tuesday night for Wales. Surely now it’s time for neutrality? 14th Nov 2021 09:00
After a 5-1 win against group whipping boys Belarus last night Wales now find themselves just one point away from a positive draw in the World Cup play offs in March next year. Bizarrely written off by some as a nothing game Wales went second in their qualification group for Qatar 2022. At the start of this campaign every one would have signed up to this scenario for sure. 0

Gareth Bale out for the start against Belgium 15th Nov 2021 13:54
Wales manager Rob Page has stated that Gareth Blade won’t be selected to start the game against Belgium tomorrow night. He as also said that was the plan all along. 0

Bale out tonight completely. 23 man squad omits Real Madrid forward 16th Nov 2021 15:13
Gareth Bale has failed a complete fitness test in the last hour, after failing other tests today in a desperate attempt to be available for the national side tonight against Belgium. Having suffered injury on a Friday night against Belarus, Bale is to return to his club tomorrow unfit. Another issue for the FAW. 0

Wonderful Wales qualify for the World Cup play offs ! 16th Nov 2021 22:03
Wales 1 Belgium 1 : Wales qualified for the March 2022 World Cup play offs in fine style against the worlds number one side Belgium. Needing a win, or a point on a night that the Czech Republic needed to win and hope Wales slipped up, it was a nail biter at times. The Czech’s won so Wales had to get the draw they needed, and they did. 0

u17s drew 1-1. Another Ben Lloyd assist. Ukraine beat Portugal so we fail to qualify for the elite round.

u21s second best so far against Switzerland but holding at 0-0. They hit the post and drew a good save from Ratcliffe. Jephcott technically way off it. Best I've seen Terry Taylor play.

Sounds like the u17s actually are through to the elite round, as one of the best third-placed teams based on results against other qualifiers (or reading tea leaves idk).

Belgium will want to win tonight, seeing as we've had a few good results against them over the last few years.

Dafydd Pritchard on BBC says Wales are as it stands the away pool.I do not think he is on the case because Wales are still second two points above the Czechs. Am I missing smething?

I have noticed Wales u17, u19 always lose or draw the third game. They once beat Norway and drew with Serbia in one tournament and then lost to Faroe Islands in the third game after they got hammered by the other teams I was not expecting much today for that reason.

Wales beat Ukraine 3-1 and Ukraine beat Kazaks 3-0 so how come Wales only got a draw.? Do they f go on the razz the nigh before the last game.?

Most one sided ref I have seen in a long time. He will give them the game.
They should have had at least 2 yellow cards.
Morelli didn't make contact but gets booked.
It's a joke.

Swansea Indepenent Poster Of The Year 2021. Dr P / Mart66 / Roathie / Parlay / E20/ Duffle was 2nd, but he is deluded and thinks in his little twisted brain that he won. Poor sod. We let him win this year, as he has cried for a whole year. His 14 usernames, bless his cotton socks.

There wasn't much rotation given it was 3 games in 7 days for young lads. 6 players started all 3. Probably should have won. Ukraine was a very good result given they beat Portugal today.

Top 6 runners up only get a home tie (10 groups + plus 2 from nations league make play offs) finishing second in the group means nothing for Wales if they are not a top 6 runner up.

Continually being banned by Planet Swans for Porthcawl and then being reinstated.

Nobody’s having a ‘shocker’ - they’re playing a team of technically superior players and are hassling and harassing them out of their stride by giving the no room at all. Just what is needed. They’re making mistakes but so are Belgium. If they can hang on for another 10 minutes or so it will be a fantastic achievement. A special word of praise for Dan James who’s put himself about all over the pitch. Well done bois - hang in there!
