| This is how you run a company on 14:02 - Dec 1 by Whiterockin | All politicians break rules and lie, whatever party they are from, the sooner the public realise this the sooner petty point scoring will stop. Is it acceptable, no but it is the way it is. Do we "joe public" need to abide by laws and regulations, yes otherwise there would be anarchy. We can not simply decide what laws we want to accept and those we will not. |
But it's ok for politicians to flout the law. Thanks for clearing that up. Nah! sorry you can't justify that.

| This is how you run a company on 13:45 - Dec 1 by GoldenBear | Not looking for an argument here. Just wondering at what point you think its acceptable for rule makers to break rules, and expect others to follow. I'm not interested in the crowd funding or whether its a publicity stunt, just a point of principle. A simple reply to my question will suffice. Do you think those who make the rules, should break the rules and expect others to abide, yes or no. This applies to all walks of life. |
My personal view is that it’s not ok for rule makers to break the laws, we should all be subject to the same rules, the same level of scrutiny and answer to the same authorities. Those who are in positions of power and control need to be beyond reproach. I don’t want this to turn into a Party Political thing, unfortunately the current incumbent of 10 Downing Street who should be setting the highest of standards and leading by example is failing miserably. We’re hearing tales of parties during lockdown, a friend of his Mrs coming around for Christmas allegedly in breach of the Covid lockdown, Cummins, wallpaper expenses, allegedly failing to disclose incomes and “perks” the Paterson business, Hancock, Patel etc etc. It’s no wonder Boris is trying to change the rules on Judicial Reviews. It’s not just MP’s either, AM’s, Councillors etc should all walk the walk instead of just talking the talk. Politicians should be subject of a Code of Conduct which is overseen and enforced by a Standards Commissioner who is completely independent of the MP’s and Ministers and if they break the rules they should be dealt with.

Absolutely not ok for them to flout the law, I don’t care which party they belong to they should be treated just the same as anyone else.

And a combined fine of £15,000 - £5,000 for each offence plus court costs of £8,940 and a court fee, called a victim surcharge of £190. I think she also has to pay Swansea City Council costs after the last hearing which were near £6k.

Oh so that makes it OK then. If politicians don't lead by example it's OK because it's always happened. That is the most weak pathetic subservient post i've seen since the last pro clot shotter posted something. The fat scruffy headed puppet should be lynched or sent to jail for a very long time for living it up and having a party whilst others never got to see their loved ones again because of the rules the fat scruffy headed puppet set. Do you honestly believe people's basic human rights are the governments to give and take at will, the same human rights we were born with?

| This is how you run a company on 08:01 - Nov 19 by magicdaps10 | This has been a big issue from the start of the pandemic, too many people ignoring rules that don't suit them.....worryingly so many people have been in support of her but in saying that, I would imagine alot of people didn't come out and say its not right, the old saying that if you have nothing good to say and all that. A lot of rules are head scratching but the reality of it all, far too many people have ignored rules and it's one of the major factors as to why this whole sorry episode is dragging on. |

What an entitled piece of work this woman is. Whenever under pressure she bangs on about caring for her mother & taking her family on holiday using the Go Fund Me proceeds. Perhaps she should think about paying off some of the debts from previous liquidated businesses

| This is how you run a company on 17:45 - Sep 13 with 637 views | britferry | How stupid is this woman? She got fined £15K, the business fined £5k, costs of £9K but got away with a contempt of court charge. But she received £55k from a crowdfund page and £112K in grants and £94K in her bank account, most would have been happy to cut and run. Oh no, she's now appealed against the level of fines imposed, so the judge has turned around and asked for a full audit trail to show where the money went. https://www.walesonline.co.uk/ | |
