| Britain is overreacting to Omicron on 20:56 - Dec 19 by Jack123 | Yes, certain people who were laughing and saying , I'll be going to nightclubs. Well no you won't, because the Emperor has shut them down again. Personally, I sense a good heart in most of the comments regarding unvaccinated, but like I said earlier, my opinion is leave people to do, what they will do. I'll be over the bay this week, taking someone there, I am concerned for their choice, but I won't say anything at all. |
Well some comments I've seen are nice, not nice at all. Yes of course you have a choice, like ive said before. It's the amont of hypocrisy the gets my back up. People forget.

| Britain is overreacting to Omicron on 20:59 - Dec 19 by Catullus | What this is, is you being a hypocrite. You dismiss the MSM when you disagree with it, even when it's a doctor/professor/expert. You have dismissed the Professor on here because you disagree with him and of the two of you, he knows what he's talking about. When it suits you, you'll accept any source, even "Iambatshitcrazy.com" |
Cat The laughable thing is that a Professor, who agrees with AFD, is an expert. Even is they are motivated by politics or paid off by organised anti-vex groups. Carl Heneghan Is essentially a GP who leads primary care studies mainly in cardiology. Whitty, a public health expert, is a liar. Whereas Heneghan who maintained ‘there will be no second wave’ has made pronouncements on diagnostics he knows nothing of,’a signatory of the GBD and allegedly in receipt of some ‘dark money’ is speaking the truth. I think it tells you that AFD has no balance or understanding around Covid. Now there are things we can agree or we can disagree with. Like vaccine passports which without a diagnostic are really for show-a negative test would be better in my view. I would say we needed more restrictions in recent months but a strict lockdown would have little benefit now. These are all opinion of course. But no one beats AFD for consistently misunderstanding and missing the point.

There is no bigger hypocrite than someone who isn't encouraging people to be vaccinated and then moans about impending restrictions. It's simple really, if every adult had their booster ASAP we'd have minimal restrictions. I'm getting a little annoyed that thanks to nonsense similar to that you read on here I'm likely to be unable to go to the gym for a few weeks in the new year. The only thing that has resulted in us having few restrictions over the last few months is vaccines. Nothing else.

I am angry yes, but not about getting vaccinated. That niggling feeling I have that something is wrong is there, yes but it's not about being triple jabbed. I am angry that so many people believe conspiracy led websites, that people listen to any old numpty on the internet rather than medical experts. I am also angry that our politicians continue to make stupid decisions, haven't learned lessons from last year and have behaved in an obviously corrupt way to boot. Vaccine passports, what a crock they are. Drakeford shutting down every shop for FAIRNESS so while the internet giants absolutely coined it, local businesses were facing bankruptcy. Bojo not stopping international travel immediately, there's so many totally schitt decisions. I know (well knew) someone who died of covid but I don't know anyone (or know anyone who knows someone) who has died or been seriously ill because of the vaccines. I think that quite possibly there is a political over reaction to Omicron, having read what the South Africans are saying. But its better to over react to a health problem and keep people safe than do nothing and watch thousands die. Some people though, can't se further than the ends of their selfish noses. Wear a mask, WOW, what a massive civil liberties infringement that is. What these people often seem incapable of understanding is, any lockdowns are because the virus is spreading because the selfish people won't obey the rules. They are a self fulfilling prophecy.

Yes but the hospitalisations would be reduced, the number of deaths would be reduced and just maybe, with everyone vaccinated we wouldn't be hearing of the possibility of a lockdown again. And the Moderna booster has good news too, https://www.thetimes.co.uk/art

"Yes but the hospitalisations would be reduced" But not by much based on current data. NHS data for England up till 14th December (latest data). Adult General and Acute beds occupied by COVID patients = 4795 Adult General and Acute beds occupied by NON-COVID patients = 79864 Adult General and Acute beds NOT occupied by any patients = 4407. So Covid patients occupy 5.7% of all occupied beds, less than half of them are Unvaccinated. So if everyone had been vaccinated it would make a difference of 2.9% overall. From December 1st to the 14th NON Covid beds increased by 1735, Covid beds increased by 276.

Yes but don’t forget a good proportion of the vaccinated formerly unvaxxed would end up in hospital too. Therefore more than the 2.9 %

So they would be reduced and every bed counts the way our NHS is right now. More significantly, the number of people in ICU beds would be reduced, by a lot. Because apparently most of the covid patients in ICU are unvaccinated.

Like I keep saying, if that is true, why are they not allowing Vaccinated patients to go in ICU, or are they dying so fast they aren't in there very long? Because they are dying 3 times faster than the Unvaccinated. There are 4407 spare ICU beds currently, in England from that same data.

Many things.. It's hard to put into words though Scotia. Best summed up by saying, for me it's a correlation of many, many things.. I guess I was always destined to feel this way, if i was the opposite it would be dreadful, because I worry about lots of different stuff, that I shouldn't worry about. If I was in the belief of worrying about this covid, my life would have been terrible for the last few years, before I changed my feelings say April 2020, I practically scrubbed my hands raw with washing them, they were on fire for days after that. I think sometimes it best to carry on like normal, and just try and live life like we should.

Drakeford over reacts. Which event is most likely to spread the virus Millions mingling indoors in supermarkets, shop, pubs etc where 10% of the population are unvaccinated. Four outdoor sporting events a week with an average crowd of less than 10,000 where everyone has to show a vaccine passport . Answers to Drakeford please. Will he listen to the science I think not. Perhaps he could introduce vaccine passports to shop.
