I was instructed the idea of an academy was to produce our own players so we don’t have to loan players . Hmm
Martin will discover that there are good kids coming through. Potter purchased Asoro when he already had James. Martin has been including Abdullai recently.
Next season this kids will be seen as his own and he will give them more chance.
Have you watched them recently? I have been impressed with small shoots of recovery.
Kenji Gorre plays regularly for Boavista in Portugal top league and good enough to play for Swansea now. Hedges played for Blackburn yesterday.
Your Welsh patriot credential are not looking great. Swansea city is a a beautiful facility for local lads to progress. You would shut them down and send them to Southampton's Bath satellite centre like in the old days with Bale.
People not coal these days. Swansea must not let its talent leave on the cheap.
I absolutely support the Joe Allen, Macca, Jazz and Ben model. Based on hardvwork with local lads.
The premier league money made the path for young welsh players hard.
I am not interested in Kenji and the boys. Never helped our club at all, Zabret is at Aberystwyth.
Did you see the age of the Cardiff team today ?
I think we only had Ben yesterday. We were smug but its not a sustainable model once outside the Prem.

Will we ever produce a keeper ?
A number 9 would be nice. You raised Kenje Gorre not me. He played very well again today.
Swansea academy is a mix. Local lads and imported players like Dan James and McBurnie.
Wales has not produced a 6 ft + centre forward for decades but many centre backs. If the keepers are there Swanse will find him. The local lads have to be competitive with imports. A closed shop for locals helps nobody.

The closed shop model is certainly cheaper. We can't afford to buy the next Dan James or Oli McBurnie (or Fulton or Grimes) for our u23s playing in the Championship. We spend those amounts on senior players. It's a different market for reinforcements at Landore.
The homegrown lads have had no issues being the best players in the u18s & u23s, it's the next step that's being made difficult. Our players are competing with loaned-in youngsters from more fashionable academies for squad places. Man City kid in on loan to fill up the bench, while guys who will be here next season are left in the wilderness.
Well done to Cardiff for giving so many chances this season.
My Liverpool supporting mate tells me although they beat you today they still envy you because you are a capital city and they ain’t
No they don’t, decent city Liverpool with decent people, just like cardiff. It’s just you lot with the bizarre chip about everything cardiff. I dont think I’ve ever heard a single person I know ever talk about it even, cardiff fans only sing it to wind you up. Crack on

Liverpool is a lot bigger than Cardiff and has contributed a huge amount to British and worldwide culture. Massive history too. I don’t think it’s a logical comparison
Each time I go to Bedd - au........................

100,000 bigger pop and cardiff is growing still…..very similar port cities in fact.
Yeah rightio like last time, the odd one was found out
Unlike the Liberty which was half full of the gazillion Liverpool fans who occupy west wales
Embarrassing sharing that Bennie. A mob of scruffs in their sports direct finest foaming at the mouth forcing two helpless scouse fans out of the stand. Bet your storyteller had a field day with that one when penning his chapter “The day we ran 200 hardcore Liverpool who had invaded our home end”.

In fairness Cardiff did produce Shirley Bassey
Swansea Indepenent Poster Of The Year 2021. Dr P / Mart66 / Roathie / Parlay / E20/ Duffle was 2nd, but he is deluded and thinks in his little twisted brain that he won. Poor sod. We let him win this year, as he has cried for a whole year. His 14 usernames, bless his cotton socks.

Exactly.
Thats the current reality. Its an opportunity as much as a limitation.

No one cares what you think….point was they don’t come in our end. In fact, the last time we played there plenty of ours were all over the kop. South Wales plastics are worse than jacks in my opinion. A cancer amongst us.
Yeah exactly like you lot when we come down with the paltry amount of tickets you give us, foaming at the mouth staring at the away end the whole game like you’ve never seen people from outside swansea before

You are building up for the double in April early. Ages to go yet.
A great believer in taking anything you like to wherever you want to.
They played well and scored a decent goal, not sure we'll be seeing the first derby double in April.

"played well" ? is this a windup? they had two shots on target all game, didn't even look like scoring until Liverpool didn't see the point in defending, if that's playing well then you must think Swansea are Champions league winners
