It’s the last game before the next game, and despite a few let downs Swansea City are beginning to get things flowing a bit. Well, not really but they do score goals when they want to by all accounts. After a disastrous trip to Blackpool, then an astonishing performance against Peterborough United, we return to the B’s, not Brentford but the Blue Birmingham’s. Anything can happen, but It probably won’t.
It’s a 3pm kick off at the newly named stadium on Saturday 19th March 2022
The Small Faces LIVE at the Birmingham Beat Club Watcha Gonna Do About It !
Nondescript, toothless and lucky. That was Swansea City this afternoon 19th Mar 2022 17:15 To say this wasn’t a Swansea City classic would be the understatement of the season in a very slow and yet again ponderous ninety minutes or so at the swansea.com stadium. For Swansea it was a game of loose passes, a total lack of energy and when it’s all summed up a demonstration of how mundane Russell Martin’s style of play can be when it doesn’t click.0
Swansea City: Andy Fisher; Ben Cabango, Kyle Naughton, Finley Burns; Cyrus Christie, Matt Grimes (captain), Olivier Ntcham, Hannes Wolf; Jamie Paterson, Joel Piroe, Michael Obafemi.

Much more to follow.
Russell Martin has a Swansea City theory20th Mar 2022 10:10 It was potentially the most dire and boring performance we have seen from the swans this season. Even at the end, and for the first time possibly boo’s greeted the final whistle. But we do have to look at the reasons for such a poor showing after a hard fought win in midweek.1

Some of the worst defending I have seen in a long time. Talk about as lucky as hell. Fisher glued to his line for balls going through the penalty area. Abysmal.
Its painful innit. Can you understand the support for Martin .
He is slowly killing us.
Now Joseph comes on for hi ten min after Wolf has done sweet FA for 80,yet he always starts.

Made some good saves to be fair.
But he just stand and watches as balls pass through his area, it only takes one decent contact for them to score. He has no command of the area whatsoever.

Thoe who support Martin and his troops worry me. Fisher was the first he signed in.He couldn't wait to dump Hamer who was doing OK.
Between a very iffy feed and what I saw that is an hour and half of my life I won't get back. I lost count of how many chances they created, as it was they had 16 shots to our 9 with virtually half the possession. Perfect Martinball.

We were lucky to get past the very worst team this week and played a decimated Bum team. They basically threw away the game. Both teams in different ways pretty dire.
Now,how much more of this do we have to endure.
Piroe now seems to be playing wide right hand side. Yep,Russ really know how to destroy talent .And we want him?

Far from boring but it's no exaggeration that on another day we'd have conceded at least 5.
Squad depth under serious scrutiny now.
Did we watch the same game? It was as boring as it gets and there was zero atmosphere for most of the game, Brum started a few songs and our lot responded but I heard booing too. How Birmingham failed to score I don't know but we could still be playing this game next Saturday and we'd still not have a worthwhile effort on goal playing this way.
For a possession heavy team our passing was rubbish.
I hope, given time, Ogbeta improves because his crosses were dire.
I am really struggling to pull anything good from that game so poor was it all the way through. We should have lost, we didn't mostly because Brum are so rubbish, not because we defended well. 65% possession but we had zero clear cut chances to Brums 5.
Just got in, worst match of the season for me flat and no creativity. Naughts back to his best saved us a few times with his Nous. Ntcham was so flat it was just slowing it all down unless we blew it with bad passing Ben being the main culprit first half. Then if we broke and got Wolfe free with acres on the outand inside he runs directly into defenders. Dont know why he took Burns off i didnt think he was doing badly just that Christy looked way of the pace and Smith also struggled. New boy did ok and looks like he likes taking the flank and whipping it in. We need Pato playing for creativity even though his work rate has been suspect.

Obviously not! Were you there!?
he atmosphere was surprisingly good considering the performance on the pitch. The East stand really got behind the team and it got niggly with away fans second half (rumours of an unsavoury incident reported to stewards too).
As I say Brum should have scored at least 5. That doesn't make for a boring game. It makes for an excruciating, nerve wracking one.

I was just recovering from seeing Wales lose to Italy. There is a worse coach than Martin in Pivac.
Atmosphere was ,sheet in England ,HWFH in A flat minor, and assorted anti English garbage.Meanwhile our mostly English players representing our club coached by an English coach performs like castrated seals. We really do not deserve this .We are not the worst fans .Right now,we are being punished for something I dont know what.Pse someone tell me what it is.
Brum players should be thrashed for not winning that. They will never get better cjances ever.
Some have pointed out our profligacy to our opponents. We did our best for Posh but they farffed it up.
First half they marked Grimes out of the game, then second half they clocked on to Naughton as well and we didn't really have anywhere else to go in this system. Ntcham got into pockets but didn't get us springing forward like Paterson does. Smith is like player a man down.
I did like Piroe shoving Bowyer when he held onto the ball. Russell Martin lucky he didn't get clocked hiding it behind his back from one of their players. Managers should behave themselves on the sidelines instead of getting into petty gamesmanship squabbles, they're the grown ups out there.
How we didn't lose the game I don't know. Championship finishing at its finest.

5 mins from time we were pasing it sideways and backwards led by Grimes. Urgency. My God .
The process enters the seventh month and the anticipation grows, meanwhile i am making a list of the Martin believers and am going to put it in my draw ready to unleash troll hell on these suckers once he walks or gets sacked, i will remove the likes of Cat from the list because he has apologised for being silly and come to his senses.

Not often I disagree with you cat, but thought Ogbeta's crossing was a step up and looked really promising, nice and early and in the danger areas. A yes from me.
