Would like to see him given some time off in the remaining games and try a Downes and Ntcham midfield duo.
I like Grimes but he makes the simple look far too difficult on times.

Poll: Are the owners doing enough for Swansea City

Lack of communication, awareness or player under orders.
Martin did try and play Grimes and Ntcham together showed promise as Ntcham got the ball forward quicker but meant Grimes was the holding midfielder Grimes is not quick enough to play the roll and ends up too deep to make up for lack of pace, it was changed after about 10mins when we went 1 nil down.
Would like to see a different partnership in the middle Grimes needs to be rested.

Sorry but the next two games are not ones to tinker with the side too much.
QPR maybe.
It would be no fun for youngsters playing in a changed side that got mauled by BMuff or the Florists.
Need to keep it solid and get two decent results and performances to keep our run and morale going

Those youngsters would disagree with you. Most of them have been losing in the u23s all season, I'm sure they wouldn't mind too much if it meant senior minutes in the Championship and a chance to show what they're about.

If you wait for the perfect time to involve young players then it never happens. If we're still hand-wringing about it when there's nothing for us to play for in games we're expected to lose then might as well close the academy.

Grimes would be a much better player if he attacked empty space, like Bryan Robson, Roy Keane did.
Still he’s a decent player and I like him.

Watched MOTD last night.
All teams doing it, with varying success.
It is part of the modern game.
However, Grimes had a mare yesterday.
Not just the goal but slowing it down and not looking for the runner

Agreed.

I'm in this camp too. Now, with nothing to play for, we should be giving our youngsters the chance to impress. We should be seeing what we've got and what we need for next season. I'd put Congreve in at the start, who else is there that we think may be good enough that we can give time to?

Jasper? is it Ruhesha, the Coopers?

Can't do that, it might impact our possession stats and we can't have that can we?

Ntcham won't last a full game until Ramadan is over next month.

What about Christian players playing on the Sabbath day. They're not keeping it holy.

Even you should be able to understand the situation.

Playing the ball backwards in order to shift play has been a fundamental aspect of the way we've played for most of the last fifteen years. Obviously Perchy doesn't understand that because, well, he's Perchy.

The issue is not that we pass the ball backwards and sideways. It's that we pass it backwards and sideways even when there are better forward options available. Or we hold onto the ball for an extra four or five seconds when the quicker pass is needed. Our main "playmaker" is far too risk averse to be carrying out that role.

I'm not interested in a 90% pass completion rate for the sake of it. I'd rather see a 75-80% rate with far more ambitious passes that won't always come off, but sometimes do. That was also the difference between Rodgers and Laudrup.

hence why Fulton isn't favoured by our erstwhile manager...he loons to move the ball forward at times risking loss of possession and uncompleted pass which dient fut his mantra

Poll: Should Coleman ask Curt for advice/help?
