Yes indeed ! Far better that than having the continuation of "keep Wales poor to serve our selfish agenda" yokel mindset that is desperate for Wales stagnation/ruination/poverty . Wales's 1960's standard infrastructure is what they desperately (proven by lack of action/ambition) want!

| Welsh assembly members on 17:01 - May 10 with 1279 views | Kilkennyjack | 96 seems a strange number to me. Should have gone for the full fat 100. The extra 4 could be used to focus on independence, as its now inevitable after the votes in Scotland and the north of Ireland. And rejoining the EU. I think i will drop Drakers a quick line to suggest it. ðŸ´ó §ó ¢ó ·ó ¬ó ³ó ¿ | |

Can you please post me a few links (should be thousands) showing outrage, disgust and extreme anger from Welsh Nats/Yes Cymru types at the refusal by Welsh government regarding the refusal to improve Wales's 1960's transport network. Please do! I await your reply!

That should be part of the the "conversation " I mentioned earlier, rather than it just being implemented. I don't see why we really need local authorities at all, there's only 3 million of us.

Not seen anything on that, but that is still too many. I’m aware of previous “papers” on 8, 9 and 10 local authority structures but That’s it - they’ve all been shelved too. 🤬🤬🤬

| Welsh assembly members on 11:16 - May 10 by Ebo | We don't get enough representation at Westminster as it is. The gammons are off on this thread. |
What utter garbage. Do the maths, we currently have more MP's per head than the UK average. There is one MP in England for roughly every 100,000 people, in Wales we have one MP for every 80,000 people. We are actually over represented. Then of course we have our devolved government so Wales has many more politicians than England. You love calling people gammons don't you, maybe you should try being right before deriding people.

Not seen anything and can't find anything on that. This increase, surely it should go to a referendum? We can't simply allow our politicians to keep increasing their number. Where does the money come from? Where in the budget will lose funds, or are they going to raise our taxes to pay for it? If this goes on the council tax there should be ructions!

Price and Drakeford have decided this themselves, as they have a 2/3rds majority in the assembly. The pair are drunk on power

I think what you meant to say was that the proposal is for 16 constituencies, each providing 6 AM's in the newly expanded Senedd. And they will be elected in a full PR system.

My apologies for using the wrong word, but still that's far to many snouts in the trough, for a Country of our size. Do you approve of the way Drakeford and Price have gone about this?

A proposal then. OK but they have tried to change the WLGA numbers before and gave up. The other snouts in the trough were none to keen on having the trough taken away. 6 AM/MS's per constituency? Why do we need 6. How will these 6 constituencies be set out? The Senedd constantly complains that Wales is under funded so their response is to spend millions more expanding the number of politicians who have roundly failed in almost everything they have power over? Honestly, I don't know that it's better anywhere else because there are always politicians in charge but, if I win the lottery I'm off to a quiet Greek island and forgetting all about politics and Welsh parochialism.

The real problem is that so many people do not vote. I get tired of repeating it but the heralded labour mandate equates to roughly only 16-20% of the electorate. Over 50% didn't vote and if they did then maybe there would be change. We're not in this mess because of people who do vote, we're in it because of people who don't.
