| Money saving thread on 00:26 - Jul 17 by Jack123 | Really? That can't be right, not that I'm contemplating running out with a trolley of stuff anytime soon, but I can't see any trolleys locking up for shoplifters, maybe alarms going, but no way are trolley wheels going to lock. |
They absolutely are. It’s quite a new technology but very effective. It’s only when your goods are paid for the checkout sends a message to the trolley allowing it to move through the exit. Otherwise it just stops dead and a big alarm goes off. https://www.shoppingtrolleysys

| Money saving thread on 09:41 - Jul 17 by lifelong | This post has got to be a first on here, someone openly admitting that he’s a shoplifter. |
I think you would be surprised at how many people do actually shoplift, I know quite a few pretty well off people who for some reason refuse to pay for razors. Never understood it myself, just for the fear of being caught. I suppose it must give one a slight buzz, getting away with it. In all honesty, if I was on my ars*, I would contemplate it, I suppose the way things are going with gas and electric, that day may come sooner rather than later.

Exactly this the amount of kids & junkies that hang around our work selling stuff is off the scale jars of expensive coffee, packed finests meat all for a couple of quid, earlier in the year one junkie had a Ralph Lauren puffa jacket all tagged up from John Lewis at £265 he wanted £40 for it. Life is sh1te but there we go

Yes, as much as people like to condemn someone for shoplifting, I bet the very same people would be reaching for their wallet sharpish if a shoplifter came into a pub with a bag of tesco finest steak, and offered it for a third of the price.

I wouldn't buy it off him, but I would advise the person selling it to use ebay, where he would dramatically improve his profit margin.

Wow, thanks technology eh? It must have been a breeze to be a shoplifter back in the 70's no cameras and so on, these days I would not fancy my chances. Personally I wouldn't condone or condemn shoplifters, they must have their reasons. But I think on the grand scale of things, it's a very petty crime. That said, if I owned a shop and had people taking stuff, I would have a different opinion.

Of course. I just know the majority of people who criticise you, I would hazard a guess their characters are not completely untarnished.. All well and good saying it on a forum like this, but when it comes to real life there are not many people who will knock back a gift horse in the mouth.. Even the most honest people I know, will do dishonest things without even realising it.

If something seems too good to be true,it probably is. Buying fillet steak from somebody who got it off a wagon? Any idea as to how eating stolen meat can kill you. Wagons are refridgerated for a reason.

I don’t know. And why would they want to drink that stuff anyway? It’s just a load of green shit in a bottle but apparently some YouTubers are advertising it so it’s the must have accessory. It’s capitalism in action.

It is dumbness Joe. It is also about education My daughter who has her own Fitness business straightened me out on this years ago. Real danger in these drinks in sugar content. We are addicted to it It’s why we had plantations centuries ago to feed our addiction. Not much has changed
