Good grief, my prediction about there being a GE within 18 months and getting rid of Truss for Johnson to return may be right.

Committees standards should be very interesting.

Be fascinated to see what Lord Pannick QC’s brief asked him to advise on and how they can justify a £150,000 brief fee

Corbyn would have known full well that he was selling Moscow's line. Initially out of preference for the Soviet system, and then because of his lifelong disdain for the West.

He hates the West so much he'll continually defend the actions of a Fascist Russian Government. These are his "Principles".

Why is Corbin so full of contempt for a country he chooses to live in.
If we are in conflict,he supports the enemy, every time.
And Putin is the enemy

Johnson took Putins money. Fact.
Let that sink in.

Johnson is in power, not Jezza.

Sometimes being a patriot is calling out the government of the day, and clearly both Johnson and Trump have acted against the best interests of their citizens. In such circumstances only a fool would simply clap the flag.
The likes of Johnson and Trump deliberately hide behind the flag to avoid valid scrutiny.
Its quite deliberate.

Dont fall for it.

How do we think Jezza wants to Stop the War? No points for guessing "Complete surrender to Russia" as the answer because it's too easy.

Its Johnson who took Russian money.

Of course. And lots of it. And there will be many more high ranking conservatives who did exactly the same. The most corrupt government in U.K. living memory. Never forget the PPE contracts to mates who couldn’t even provide it.

There’s a lot of people on here completely brainwashed. I’m quite shocked at people I know who are intelligent and don’t even acknowledge those facts.

It’s entirely possible to hold two thoughts though, Brynnie,

1. The last version of the Tory government was useless, dishonest, unserious, unscrupulous and generally the worst for many of us in living memory
2. The idea of Corbyn as Prime Minister was ridiculous

Is perfectLy consistent to hold both these views.

A patriotic prime minister and governing party would have the citizens interests at heart. 12 years of Tory corruption and sleaze show they have no interest in their people - only those they can make richer whilst getting a kickback themselves.

Corbyn on the other hand presented an proven to be entirely costed manifesto that was rubbished by the right wing media (that’s everyone bar the mirror and the morning star). Peter Osborne no less described Corbyn as “one of the most calumnised men by the press” he’d seen.

Here’s some more from the definitely right wing ex Daily Express journalist :-

This board just shows how brainwashed people can be. Stockholm syndrome is rife on here.

No, if Corbyn had got in we'd be a pariah state and Putin lapdog, Jezza having long ago become a bought and paid for asset of Moscow.

I know you have an inbuilt hatred for the man and what his Labour Party would have provided for the less well off of this country. And that in a few months will include both me AND you.

I never found the idea of Corbyn leading this country even faintly ridiculous. I did find the concept of a proven liar and populist like Johnson getting into Number ten the realms of high satire and completely ludicrous. If you don’t think that there’s no hope for you!!!

I also find the influence of the not so free press malignant in the extreme.

P.S. have a look at the alternative (and incidentally the complete polar opposite) to an honest man who wanted only to create a more egalitarian society for the people of this country (and the powerful weren’t really keen on that so they stopped him via trial by lying media).

Of course it is, thinking Corbyn was unelectable doesn't mean you're a Tory any more than thinking Russell martin should be sacked makes you a Cardiff fan. The idea is preposterous.

A honest member of parliament who has been returned for over twenty (maybe thirty) years who has stuck up for the less well off and advocated a nationalization programme which would have stopped taxation money going directly into private hands. Wealth and windfall taxes and the growing billionaires club in the U.K. and better directed funding of NHS and a fully nationalised and integrated public transport system . Not to mention renationalising all utilities so the water companies would be allowed to dump raw sewage directly into rivers and our seas. Yeah, I do find that quite appealing. Surprised you don’t.

Why surprised by Corbyn popularity ?

Corbyn had good policies and stood for fairness and equality, I'm not making a party political point here either, Johnson was just a liar.

Corbyn popular with the left because of his policies, Johnson popular with the masses because people believed the lies that Johnson said and the right wing media backed him using propaganda (and I don't vote Labour).

Jeremy Corbyn, the man who persuaded tens of thousands of Labour voters to vote for Bojo and still some try to not just defend him but say he was the answer.

Jeremy Corbyn, a man so unelectable people would rtaher vote for a lying, devious, narcissistic idiot.

Mind you, McDonnell didn't help, he tried to hide his true nature behind a softly spoken, friendly persona but he is a dangerous man and people could see it, again, when Bojo was the better choice, it spoke volumes.

The simple reality, the one which those on the far left (and indeed far right) simply cannot or will not accept is that the overwhelming majority of the British voting public isn't interested in extremism of any form, be it the likes of Corbyn on the left or Griffin on the right.

So by the logic of Jeremy's Corbyn on the left and the irrelevant Nick Griffin on the right, that would place Boris Johnson and the Conservatives as Centrist?
The majority of the British public are pretty much centre right, Labour only get elected when they put forward a status quo Centrist.

You've missed out the very important word "far", no doubt intentionally.

Corbyn is far left. Griffin is far right. Johnson is centre right. Starmer is centre left. There are also many shades in between.

Far left? To me that’s Marxism- which he certainly is not.

Far right is Nazi but that isn’t the modern day Conservative Party either.

This in a good 6 minute segment pretty much encapsulates then.

In a society wired correctly flying the Hammer & Sickle would be seen as just as disgusting as flying a Swastika, perhaps even more so given their respective death tolls, yet Corbyn and his chums do so happily.

He’s a socialist pure and simple. He doesn’t advocate state farms and doesn’t have a Stalinist 5 year plan. And you know it.

Your staunch conservatism supports a party whose sole aim is to put public tax money into private hands. Remember that when you get your heating bill this autumn and next year.
