But in fairness what was the context perhaps our anthem was booked first, I've seen that and then the press report we booed their anthem, press can't be trusted, pretty impressive booing mind not to hear the anthem.

I’d have no issue with it being played.
I could never sing it but I’d stand and be respectful.
We’ve all got out individual feelings and reasons why we got there. If you’d asked the 18year old me is have said no way, but I’ve grown up since then.
Mates who’ve been in the forces have talked to me about their feelings on GSTQ and I’ve softened.
Booing it would make us look like small minded bigots. This is a unique occasion.

And after reading some of the bile on here people wonder why football was cancelled? I honestly at this moment feel embarrassed and ashamed to be a member here. Free speech and the right to debate can sometimes be used as a shield to hide a total lack of class and respect and it is visible on this thread. People afraid that our club be embarrassed by the crowd reaction to the Minutes Silence for a person who has given more to this country than most of the contributors here.

Not a single jot of a reference to our Country on the royal standard. Eventually came to Aberfan but only after it was clear that she should have. Happy to heat her palaces with Welsh coal though. Quick enough to be at the opening of a new dam that flooded our land to give the english water. No I’m not ok with having her anthem played in our stadium, but as I’ve mentioned previously, I’ll show my respects towards my club and will abide by how they see fit to commemorate this event.

words fail me with this post, how have you failed to grasp this is completely different to the 'norm' is beyond me. It's not respect for the anthem we are asking for, it's respect for a Lady who has lost her life and respect for our club which will be dragged through the mud if we don't behave tonight
