They looked pretty young to me on that cctv footage and that was the general consensus at the time. Total bellends mind, I’d love to go to a Derby game but so many idiots just not worth it. I’d hazard a guess that barely any of the lads I used to go with go away anymore, prob just take kids to home games. It’s a bit of a legoland joke that the family stand is the one you should be wary of these days, certainly not all the old happy clappers in the Ninian…..

| The bubble match v Cardiff on 08:31 - Oct 9 by bennytheblue | Yes maybe we need another 20 years until those around the 50 mark now have long gone? There will always be idiots following both clubs though, maybe not regularly but they will show up for this game which is a shame, more so down your way maybe? I’m not so sure the 20 somethings down this way are even bothered by football and definitely not agro. Think Wales games help build bridges but wonder if more could be done…… |
From what I've seen the 20 somethings down here aren't bothered either, it looks mostly like the old idiots on either side still driving this stupidity.

| The bubble match v Cardiff on 22:49 - Oct 8 by STID2017 | Sadly would result in carnage. Too many idiots ( young and old) from both sets of supporters to allow it to happen. I would love it as haven't been to a Derby at Cardiff in far too many years. Last time I watched Swansea in Cardiff was the Cup win against Carlisle and even that was tainted by hooliganism |
The sad truth is it needs to stay as a bubble game to keep the peace. We enjoyed Cardiff for the Carlisle game and so did over 30,000 othet jacks. Luckily i saw no troubke at all, and its a shame if your day was spoilt by the idiots.

It does present problems.

And ours isn’t? Crikey they are born and bread on your doorstep in Neath and PT. I don’t think your average Jack who moved to cardiff for his office job is going to worry the police much …lol and I know a few.

I think you need to recognise the youngsters from the valleys who no longer follow Cardiff in their hundreds. Office jobs mean nothing. It’s an age thing.

| The bubble match v Cardiff on 11:36 - Oct 9 by bennytheblue | That was a bit of a one off and they were mainly kids from the valleys not Cardiff allegedly. Smashing up anything is a pretty low score for hoolie behaviour, akin to throwing glasses and chairs or having a go at stewards maybe? Going away late 80’s/early 90’s it was deemed as quite cool with the gear, on the train railcard, 200 of us all young. It must be the un coolest thing to do ever now bar admitting your a Tory….I’d imagine if the police were bothered they would let “something” occur just to lock up 50 or so and ban a few for 10 years like they’ve done in the past. You gotta be nuts to do that these days as you will lose your Liberty and god knows what else for a good stretch. We’ve all done stupid stuff, thank god there were no mobiles in many aspects of life circa 88-93 |
You should have been at the Welsh Cup game in 1980. That was probably the worst I’ve seen it’s I dare say there are some like lifey who probably remember the two sets of fans pre segregation…….

Neath and Port Talbot is now predominantly Jackland. Yes there was a time PT was split but it's generally White now especially with the youngsters. Merthyr surprises me. See a lot of Swans shirts up that way.

I parked on a side street I often used for work near the stadium. Encountered a couple of gangs of hooligans. Luckily I was in my car by that point. Dread to think what may have happened if I had been on foot at that point.

Been to Port Talbot and Neath this morning only seen people wearing Swans merchandise Very rarely you will see someone in these areas with Cardiff Merchandise on these days ,,,
| The bubble match v Cardiff on 12:07 - Oct 10 with 1588 views | pencoedjack | If it wasn't a bubble it would only be for 1 game for sure. Not sure where this 'its only blokes over 50' as there seems to be loads of youngsters who no doubt would cause trouble if it wasn't. Coke, beer & a SW derby a recipe for disaster. As Benny said (that's twice I have agreed within a month) you've got to be nuts to get involved in any football violence these days. | | | |

I was in JD Sports in Merthyr about 3 weeks ago. Alongside the new Wales shirts were Swansea home and away, shirts shorts and socks, polo shirts, and training gear. There were 2 Cardiff shirts hung to the right of these. The guy in the shop said they sell loads of Swans stuff and not much Cardiff.

A couple of years ago I went to the derby match in Cardiff as a guest of my brother in law who’s a Kaardiff fan. We went up early had breakfast in the city centre before making our way to the game. Considering the game was an early kick off, there were loads of drunken Cardiff yobs about singing anti Swansea songs and looking for aggro. Game has to say a bubble match.
