Your empathies are highly localised (Swansea area) . My empathises extend further and are related to the history of my ancestors, culture and Christian values to a certain extent. There is no football team in the Neath Valley so this is natural.

Quarter final two decades ago under Brian Flynn. Only needed to beat Chesterfield for a SF but lost 2-1. This was a disappointment to me bit looking back Chesterfield had Sean Dyche at CB and Kevin Davies at CF.

I did think the same. Once religion is brought into football it only leads to trouble

| Come on Wrexham on 20:08 - Jan 7 with 1003 views | majorraglan | As has been said, great game and a wonderful result for Wrexham. They need to learn some Martin ball so they can try to close games out by denying the opposition possession - they had an extra man not that you’d think that. Let’s hope the Swans can see Bristol off tomorrow. | | | |

Besides, if he's so worried about Welsh culture, history and all that he says, shouldnt he be following ancient Celtic Druidic values? This thing about supporting other Welsh clubs versus the English, how can it work, all it does in my opinion is show a dislike for the English. I wonder how many Wrecsam fans support us against English clubs? Does anybody know any?

I support Swansea as that is where my ancestors lived and struggled to survive to a certain extent. Times were hard. I was raised in Carmarthenshire and Neath Valley and I emphasize with a greater area other than the Town (later city) of Swansea. Swansea city loyalties extend well beyond the city limits. It is the definition of ethnicity I gave you earlier which you do not empathise with. Location politics language, religion, music etc. I am aesthete but I empathise with the community. (The Welsh community Chapels and all that). Wrexham have the same ethnic background. Rivalries for me are predominantly ethnic rivalries. I want Welsh team to beat English teams. If you have no empathy with your community then it is not surprising you care not a jot. Many Anglophiles come from English immigrant heritage in the industrial revolution with indifference to Wales self determination passed down from generation to generation.

| Come on Wrexham on 06:21 - Jan 8 with 669 views | RichardO | Happy to support Welsh teams because they may have some quality home grown players who would wish to play internationally for their country of birth. If their go on to bigger clubs, great, hopefully their heart will rule their head but just incase get them an international appearance to tie them in, might have their profile raised by being picked and playing for Wales, win, win all round. Just hope we don't get the nonsense which surrounded the World Cup squad with young player heads being turn and turning down the invitations to join the Wales squad just incase they can play for a "better" international team in the future. Hopefully Welsh club teams doing well will help more Welsh youngsters excel and help Wale's international squad by having a bigger pool to choose from. Note, if we can tie in some late developing superstar early, would also be very happy to celebrate their Welsh ancestry wherever they are born🙂 | | | |
