| Swansea City v Watford : Match day thread 18:37 - Oct 21 with 9939 views | ModeratorC | A chance for the Swans to get back on track. Watford defeated Sheffield Wednesday on Saturday by the odd goal in one ! Swansea City : Duff needs to get back on track 22nd Oct 2023 08:30Swansea City take on Watford on Tuesday night at the Swansea.Com Stadium with a 7.45pm kick off. After Saturdays defeat at the hands of Leicester City, head coach Michael Duff will be determined to set the record straight. 1 Michael Duff has a few dilemmas ahead of him 23rd Oct 2023 08:00Swansea City take on Watford tomorrow night at the Swansea.Com Stadium with the loss to Leicester City still ringing in their ears. Michael Duff may feel it’s time to rest at least one player in his squad. Charlie Patino or Jerry Yates perhaps ? 0 Swans battle cry for Hornets visit 24th Oct 2023 07:26There’s a strong desire to put right the result of Saturday tonight at the Swansea.Com Stadium. Watford are the visitors and three points are most certainly required by the Swans. 0 Josh Tymon & Josh Key to face injury assessment today 24th Oct 2023 12:06Josh Tymon and Josh Key both carried on playing with injuries on Saturday against Leicester City. Duff now has to wait for feedback on both before naming his side which is already injury hit for tonight’s home game against Watford ( Kick Off 7.45pm ) 0 Swansea City lose again in a disappointing display at home 24th Oct 2023 22:01It could be said you can only take on so many injuries before the ship hits the rocks, and that was possibly the reasoning behind this defeat. However, those charged with the duty of playing for the Swans tonight really did fail to see the lighthouse warnings. 0

| Swansea Indepenent Poster Of The Year 2021. Dr P / Mart66 / Roathie / Parlay / E20/ Duffle was 2nd, but he is deluded and thinks in his little twisted brain that he won. Poor sod. We let him win this year, as he has cried for a whole year. His 14 usernames, bless his cotton socks.

Let’s hope we win, but his substitutions were odd on Saturday, and tonight.

We need to be in their faces. It happened against Leicester. We don’t deserve anything from this but that’s not the point.

I thought the change was to be more offensive. The 4 4 2 wasn't working so we put 3 at the back pushing Ashby and Pederson upfield and the plan was to bring Yates and Lowe closer together Cullen was ineffective so I could see the sense in stopping him for Cooper but didn't understand why we took of Pato.Ashby got injured so we reverted to 442. We missed Patino as we all know starting with Grimes and Fulton does us no favours and tonight was the first time since we started our good run that this had happened .

| Swansea City v Watford : Match day thread on 22:21 - Oct 24 with 1942 views | Treforys_Jack | Why no Patino ? If he's carrying a knock then he shouldn't be on the bench. What's the point of putting Congreve in the matchday squad if he has no intention of using him. Poor from Duff all round today. | | | |
| Swansea City v Watford : Match day thread on 22:26 - Oct 24 with 1913 views | Whiterockin | My take on tonight. Watford were crap and they still beat us, what does it say about us. There was as much urgency as an end of season match with nothing to play for. Yates was feeding of scraps but still didn't do enough. As I said earlier Grimes and Fulton together doesn't work, we needed someone to open them up and didn't use Patino, shameful. Poor substitutions again tonight. We need to start winning again and quickly, hopefully on Saturday. | | | |

The Patino question is a mystery...in fairness to Duff Congrave was ready with Walsh to come on but then Ashby got injured.

| Swansea City v Watford : Match day thread on 22:28 - Oct 24 with 1903 views | Dr_Winston | A reversion back to early season type performances for largely the same reason. We had no control in the midfield at all. Fulton and Grimes should never be selected in the same side. Time and time again we've see it happen over numerous seasons, and time and time again it doesn't work. They just can't play together. Giving up the centre of the park left our forward players with absolutely nothing to work with except panicky long balls. If Patino is fit then Patino plays. If he isn't then someone else does. | |
| Pain or damage don't end the world. Or despair, or f*cking beatings. The world ends when you're dead. Until then, you got more punishment in store. Stand it like a man... and give some back. |

Didn't like Fulton tonight looked massively off the pace, could be down to lack of game time which is entirely probable, all in all it was a bad day at the office, to many injuries to important players didn't help either. Taking Paterson off was a strange substitution as well, him and Lowe were the standouts for us in the first half, IMO. On the goal, I think it was for Cooper man handling defenders one side and similarly Fulton on other side leaving a gap with Pederson to power in, seen it a few times now and that looks a plausible argument.

| Swansea City v Watford : Match day thread on 23:12 - Oct 24 with 1741 views | lifelong | Poor performance this evening, we looked so casual in the first half with no urgency and could easily have gone a goal down. Watford were the better side at the start of the second half and it was only after they scored we decided to show some attacking play. At times during the game I thought we had reverted to Martinball it was frustrating to watch it. | | | |

Seems like ‘kill your speed’ was taken too seriously by the players last night. They were adhering to the 20 mph a little too much. Terrible performance overall, slow, lacking energy, devoid of ideas, trying the same thing over and over, wasteful (Darling).

Southampton last night as an example. Half time they were 3rd, 10 minutes later they were 9th where they stayed until they scored in the 96th minute and they were back up to 5th. Really is a crazy league this season.

Changing to the three at the back was suppose to be more offensive out wide but with both Grimes and Fulton dropping needlessly back to deep to take the ball off defenders who can play the ball themselves, we were left wide open in the midfield, I believe that when you revert to three at the back the defensive midfielders need to be a lot more mobile, faster and read the game better to avert danger.
