| Distance travelled to home matches by season ticket holders 23:01 - Dec 11 with 810 views | aberhugh | I was wondering what sort of distances are travelled to attend home matches by season ticket holders. I live just north of Aberystwyth and a home match is a 160 mile round trip about 5 hours travelling time. I sit in the East and I am sitting close to people from Fishguard and Haverfordwest. It would be interesting to know what sort of distances are regularly travelled to attend home games. | | | | |

Managed 4 league this season and we won 3 of them. Plus also saw 1 home cup game My two nearest away grounds are Ipswich, only a 20 mile round trip and Norwich a 80 mile round trip Both grounds are conveniently near railway stations.

You need to go to home games more often with a 75% win rate under your belt.

Do you actually have a season ticket and attend roughly half the games? The travelling distance is the reason I mentioned some not renewing on the season ticket thread. Some by me are seriously considering the situation with so many games live on Sky and the easily available tickets for matches. Some travel from Aberaeron others from Tredegar and Bridgend and find it a hassle midweek with work the next day.

We have a winner! ^^^ My mate is Wrexham born and bred, though he has now lived in Surrey for 31 years. In all that time, he has only ever missed 1 Wrexham game, home and away, league and cup. I'll be meeting up with him next week. [Post edited 12 Dec 13:31]

This was whichever division we were in and it was easier to get tickets( it didn’t have to be against the top teams) Did think of carrying on and breaking even by missing nearly half the games. As it is we do travel but only when the 3 of us can make it. Still a bonding/memory making day with my sons Not always for the best reasons 😃 300 mile return.

Costs me too much on speeding tickets coming back to Swansea (220 mile round trip), the new bypass through the valleys has a camera every 20ft. Will be at Stoke tomorrow in the pissing down rain for one of our 'local' games.

There’s another photographer who delivers superb shots to the Indy. I’ll leave him to say where he is. There still remains a Swans stronghold in Bristol and Gloucestershire of course.

| Swansea Indepenent Poster Of The Year 2021. Dr P / Mart66 / Roathie / Parlay / E20/ Duffle was 2nd, but he is deluded and thinks in his little twisted brain that he won. Poor sod. We let him win this year, as he has cried for a whole year. His 14 usernames, bless his cotton socks.

| Distance travelled to home matches by season ticket holders on 17:29 - Dec 12 with 152 views | aberhugh | I retired in 2015 prior to that it was really difficult to travel and work when there were midweek games. The winter was hard work travelling both ways in the dark. The weather conditions on the poor roads in Mid- Wales can be really challenging. A while ago we encountered bad snow driving down one night in winter. The family were beginning to suggest turning around but I said we would be okay and let's carry on. All that way and it was 0-0. However, it was the game when Eden Hazard gave Charlie Morgan a kicking. Everybody buzzing all the way back to Aberystwyth. | | | |

It’s up there with Sunderland or was last season. I think.

Back then, disposable income was a thing and you could advance book cheap train tix/groupsave It's not like that anymore and total respect to those who follow as it, Stoke arrangements aside, painfully bloody expensive...
