Ipswich Town v Swansea City : Swans with decisions to make 26th Feb 2026 16:45 Swansea City visit Ipswich Town on Saturday with the majority of people already putting this clash down as a home win. That may well be the case but the Swans are not exactly playing badly with their last two away games resulting in a win and a loss.0
Tractor Boys v The Swans : Beware of results that went before 27th Feb 2026 19:18 Ipswich Town followers are very confident of getting the three points come the end of tomorrow’s game against Swansea City at Portman Road. As we mentioned yesterday this is very much the case, the Swans are the underdogs and are even unfancied for a draw.0
Ipswich Town v Swansea City : Match day on the Indy & team news 28th Feb 2026 10:36 It’s match day on the Indy as we take the run up to today’s fixture at Portman Road between Ipswich Town and Swansea City. We will also carry team news and latest on this game.0
Ipswich 3 Swansea City 0 : What a shocking mess ! 28th Feb 2026 18:11 Two defensive errors and Swansea players still in their sleeping bags at the start of this fixture lost any chance of taking anything from this game. Referee, Anthony Backhouse added his usual mismanagement of a Swans game which we mentioned pre match, and all together it was an another sleepwalk back to the days of Russell Martin.1
@GwynStato on X Officials REFEREE: ANTHONY BACKHOUSE: Has been Referee 4 times & 4th official once at the Stadium ASSISTANT: MARK STEVENS : Has been an Assistant 3 times at the Stadium ASSISTANT: MARK SCHOLES : Has an Assistant 11 times at the Stadium 4th OFFICIAL: TOM REEVES: Has been Referee once & 4th official 6 times at the Stadium
Indy : Say what you like but this referee continually involves himself in drama of his own making when officiating Swansea City. It isn’t just the Swans. We have been citing this for three seasons. Penalties waved away that have been so blatant, overall command of the game being poor as he gradually makes the game about him instead of the enjoyment of the match in question. How he still gets Championship games is open to debate.

Swansea Indepenent Poster Of The Year 2021. Dr P / Mart66 / Roathie / Parlay / E20/ Duffle was 2nd, but he is deluded and thinks in his little twisted brain that he won. Poor sod. We let him win this year, as he has cried for a whole year. His 14 usernames, bless his cotton socks.

Sideways and back , Sideways and back
And some people think we can get into the playoffs
It’s like midweek training for Ipswich
I’ve turned it off now. Appalling.
We’ve reverted to bad habits, passing around the back with absolutely no purpose and having absolutely no strategy to cut through the midfield. We end up losing patience and booting it up field and lose out just about every time.
Galbraith has gone backwards. Every ball he receive he turned back towards his goal. Also players receiving the ball facing their goal so can only pass back. Where is this driving forward play that Matos said he’d bring.
Our loans but especially Yalcouye is full of energy but he in particular tries to do it all alone rather than be part of a team. But if they haven’t trained that way you can’t blame him.
I’m taking nothing away from Ipswich though who are excellent. They have pace, ability as a team and ability as individuals. Great combination.
We won’t go down but any thoughts of a top half finish is foolish. We are not good enough.
Stamenic too passive for me, you could see the difference in the second half when the press was more considered. Nunes needed to have the ball more but also needed to be aware of Tymon's overlapping runs. Disappointing.

Add to that our most influential player is constantly played out of position. It really does beggar belief. Are we doing it deliberately to keep Galbraith out of the limelight and the shop window.

He’s been poor defensively all right And the midfield has been crap too ,then again nobody has looked any good today
We look worse than we did at Bristol away
As Tymon provides a lovely assist for the Ipswich 3rd goal
Ipswich passing around for fun and all we do is sideways and back
Beyond Embarrassing today
which is why possession stats are toxic We have a style that apparently means we have limited footballers trying to play Hollywood football and feckn up as a resultExample was Tymon ,utterly limited ,totally one footed ending up looking like a fool We either need better quality players or play a more pragmatic style
we need a massive clear out this summer but we will end up offering extended contracts to players who are not worthy of it .

Your comments on Ipswich today are spot on ……. But Don’t forget Wrexham beat them twice ,drew once ,made Ipswich look very ordinary in each game and put 5 past them last time out That’s how far off we are
Wrexham up there is going to be very difficult ,especially if Matos doesn’t start getting the team and tactics spot on and more importantly playing forwards with passion and pride not this slow, ponderous, ambitionless cack we played today , Ipswich didn’t break sweat today and the Jacks who made the long ,tiring trip to east anglia deserved a lot better

Had a few good passages of play, but ended up being well beaten. I guess the difference between us and the top teams are: (1) we still don't have much in the way of creativity and penetration up front; and (b) we have more than the odd defensive mistake in us.

The top teams also move the ball forward quickly and decisively , not so slow it lets the opposition mark all your players up making it virtually impossible to attack

Hopefully the last 8 days have been a dose of realism for those who make the decisions at the club, they should be able to judge where we are inline with where they expect us to be or behind.
Bristol City, could have gone either way and we were possibly lucky to win. Preston, hammered in the first half and could have been 3 down but fought back to get a draw. Ipswich well beaten and lacking in so many areas against a better team.
Take the loan players out of there and do we have the nucleus ouf a good side to work with I don't think so, plus throw in if Galbraith and Vipotnik leave we will have a shed load of money but back to square one.
All purely my opinion, possibly others don't think the same.

Well I agree with all that I think Matos has potential to be a very good coach He frustrates me though as he should have destroyed the Martin legacy by now We are stroking it around as we don’t know what to do with the ball
We got away with a hiding today as Ipswich simply strolled through the game I will repeat again as to how appalling is Ronald as is eom Thrse are the first we should offload Just hope Cullen doesn’t get a ten year extension

To be honest. I have 0 clue with this side. Either we show signs we are improving or we look like our old selves. On paper, we'll in my eyes we look like a potentially competive squad. But something is off. Is it individual players or tactics? I still think Matos has to move Galbraith from RB now, how much more does he need to see? Yes Key was terrible and Ward might not make the 90 minutes, but it doesn't work. Ronald looks like he is going backwards. Eom is an enigma.
If you want to be ruthless.
Sell - Cullen - Ronald - Eom - Key
Buy - RB - 2 Decent Defenders - 2 Wingers.
But who knows... I want Eom and Co to work, and they show glimpses but its to far and between.

You want a balanced post … Well it’s hard after that A positive should be the acceptance that 1.EOM is utterly irrelevant 2.Ronald should simply have his contract ripped up and Zvullen ( bless him) offered for sale this summer 3.Tymon as a defender is a liability but as he can cross then he could attack another buyer 4 Key obviously is unfit for purpose notwithstanding the love for him
That’s four off the books
I would have added Fulton but he’s been great cen another contract when he should have been thanked for his efforts and moved on
Oxford won today and Leicester are surely too” good” to go down which makes staying up the priority
We have not bought well nor have we loaned well either

"No player is hated"
Pain or damage don't end the world. Or despair, or f*cking beatings. The world ends when you're dead. Until then, you got more punishment in store. Stand it like a man... and give some back.

I am confident we will secure championship football soon enough Tymon had a shocker today and we'll on Tuesday as well, but he has improved his defending and is the best with assists, so gets a free pass from me.
Ronald for me though I want him to improve is just not good enough. Eom has potential, and I just don't know.
The problem is, if we get rid of Ronald and Eom, we are gonna have to really get 2 players who can hit the ground running. We have not been blessed with our Wingers for a while and though I am not advocating the devil you know, I fear we get rid of the rubbish to only bring even worse.
That aside, I do hope Matos isn't encouraging backwards play, something that has been creeping back into the team recently.
